I put on my dress. By that time my hair was pretty dry. I scrunched the end of it, making it a bit curly.

Colby came up behind me. He was wearing a animal print button up with some black pants.

"You look nice." I check him out through the mirror. "Thanks" he zipped the back of my dress.
He stood beside me brushing his teeth. We kept eye contact through the mirror as we we cleaning ourselves up.

I pull out my toothbrush, holding it out. He puts toothpaste on it. Holding his toothbrush in his mouth. I brush my teeth as we take turn spitting in the sink.

It was oddly quiet.I spit out my toothpaste using the mouthwash to then spit it in the sink.

I put on some clear lip gloss. "Ready?" Colby asked putting his toothbrush down spitting out the last bit of toothpaste. "Yeah." I grab my phone. "Let's go" he rested his hand on my lower back, slightly pushing me to get in front of him.

"Took yall long enough" my dad laughed standing up. "Alright let's go. I'm excited for you to meet my business partners."

We get out to the car. "Sit in the front" Colby says. "Why?" I asked. My dad was already in the car. "Cus. I feel you've bonded with your dad but mainly me, sit next to him." Colby opened the front door, I get in and he shuts it behind me. He gets in the back. My dad starts his car. "Music?" He handed me the aid.

"Holy shit, your way better than mom!" I take the aux, connecting it to my phone. I play 'my name is,' by Eminem.

"Oh yeah your definitely my daughter." He laughed turning it up. I turn back to Colby, he smiles at me.

"Hi kids. Do you like violins. Wanna see my stick nine inch nails in each one of my eyelids." Me and Colby and my dad all sung.

I turn back to Colby again, adoring him, he didn't notice but he looked so pretty,

I wanted to kiss him until I lost my breath.

"We're here" my dad turned off the car. I got out of the car standing up. We walked in. My dad got us a table. "My friends will be here later. Go get you something to drink." My dad handed me his card.

"Dad. I'm 17" I reminded him again. "Just say your with Arnold, they will get you one." He smiled. "Okay..."I was a bit suspicious.

"What do you want?" I asked Colby. "Anything." He smiled. I stood up and walked to the bar. "Uhm two Martini's please" I say to the lady. "ID" she looks at me.

"Oh I'm with Arnold, he to-" she stopped. "Okay two martinis that's it?" She wrote down in a small note pad. "Uhm yeah." I handed her the card. She swiped it. "Drinks will be ready in a bit." She handed me the card back.

I look back at the table whom Colby and my dad were sitting at. I see Colby staring at me. He pulls out his phone aiming at me, so I do the same taking a picture of him. I flick him off laughing a bit. "Two martinis" she handed me the drinks. "Thank you" I smiled.

I walked to the table handing Colby his drink then my dad his card. Colby takes a sip out of his. "Thank you princess" Colby smiles. "Your welcome whore" I smile sitting down.

"Y'all two have a very interesting relationship." My dad chuckles. "Yeah guess we do" I roll my eyes and Colby gives me 'that' look. You know the look someone gives you when they know your lying.

I pull out my phone posting that picture that I had taken of Colby while I was at the bar.

"Alright. Katie I want you to me James and Perrier." My dad introduced me to his friends. "Hi" I waved to them. "So. This pretty lady is your daughter." One of the guys holds out my hand and kisses it. I pull it away, Colby say there looking at him.

"Yeah she is" my dad chuckled. "And.. this guy, your son?" The guy looked at my dad. "Uh no, her boyfriend" Colby stepped into the conversation.

"Oh, boyfriend, sorry." The guy threw his hands up. "I'm James, nice to me you." He smiled at me. He had brown hair with grey streaks in it. He was wearing a tux and he had brown eyes. "So can I buy you little lady something to drink?" He asked me. "James knock it off" My dad said while signing papers "Uhm no, stop flirting with me, your old enough to be my dad, also I'm 17." I stood up.

"Cmon let's go dance." I grab Colby's hand taking him the center where people where dancing. It was almost like a bar, just more fancy I guess. "I don't know how to do this shit." Colby laughed. "Neither do I." I smile. I put my hands on his shoulders and rest his on my hips.

We began dancing but I stepped on his foot. "Shit sorry." I grin my teeth. He laughed. "Let's just stand here." Colby smiled. "Yeah." I stopped moving.

Colby pulled me closer. I laid my head on his chest. "Katie" his voice hummed in my ear. I took my head up from his chest. "Colby" I mock his tone.

He laughed a bit. "Promise me, when you find someone else, it's bound to happen, just promise me we will still be friends. I've had the most fun with you in this past month than I've ever had with anyone else." Colby looked down at me.

"Always forever Brock." I smile. He smiled back putting his hand on the side of my face. "Always forever." He repeated. Kissing my lips gently.
