Chapter 47

Katie's pov

I walked out to Sam's car. "Hey" I got in closing the door behind me. "Wow, you look beautiful." He smiled. "Thank you" I smiled slightly.

He back out my drive way and began driving. It took about 10 minutes but we arrived. "Olive Garden." I smiled. "I knew you loved it, you told me that when I first met you." Sam smiled. I got out the car and walked ahead I felt sams hand interlock with mine, his hands were cold.

We got inside and they seated us. "Bread and salad will be given shortly" the waiter said and Sam nodded. "So tell me, what are you doing after high school." Sam asked.

"We'll I want to move to la. My dad has already offered to buy me a apartment, he told me I deserve to be there." I talk as the waiter brings us drinks.

I squeezed the lemon into my water. "You do" Sam took a sip of his drink. "Kansas is shitty man" Sam laughed. I admired his eyes. "Yeah" I took a sip of my drink.

"What about you?" I asked. "We'll I actually have no clue, I'm not even sure if I'm going to college." Sam looked me in the eyes. The waiter set down the bread and salad.

I put some salad and a piece of bread on my plate and took a bite.  "So what are you going to get?" I asked. "Uhm I have absolutely no clue." He laughed.

"Oh get the bake-ziti, man that's so good" I smiled. "Where's that" he asked, I leaned over and pointed to it on the menu. I looked at Sam who was looking down my chest. I quickly sat back down.

I don't why but that made me uncomfortable.

"Alright I'll get that." He smiled. "Yeah me too" I fake smiled looking down.

Man I feel like a complete douche for what I did to Colby. I shouldn't be here with Sam I should be with him. I thought going on this date with Sam would get Colby off my mind, but after Colby's confession I can't his face out of my head. He looked broken when I answered the phone.

"Hey guys sorry to interrupt, what can I get you two?" The last asked, she looked about our age. "Uhm I'll get the bake-ziti" sam said winking at me. "Okay and what about you?" She asked me writing down Sam's order in her notebook.

"I'll do the sam-" sam stopped me by talking over me. "She'll have the salad." He smiled. "Yeah salad." I looked at her. She nodded and wrote it down, "will that be all?" She asked.

"I mean your number would be nice." Sam bit his lip at her, she looked at me and furrowed her eyebrows. "I'll be back with y'all's food"

What the actual fuck was that.

"So, did you end that thing with Colby?" Sam asked fiddling with his straw. "No well I me-" Sam stopped me. "End it, you don't have a choice." Sam looked at me.

What the hell why is he acting like this, I feel like he's just trying to get in my pants.

"Here is your salad." The lady hands me my bowl, "thank you" I smiled at her and she nodded. I watched sam look at her ass as she walked away. My face remained disgusted.

I poured ranch on my salad and poked it with my fork, I sighed and grabbed my stuff standing up. "Where are you going?" Sam asked. I ignored him and kept walking. "Katie" he yelled. I ran out the restaurant, he followed. "Katie! What the fuck!" He grabbed my arm. "Get the hell away from me" I spit.

He jerked his hand away. I began running and ran to the street side walk. It began drizzling so I used my arm to cover my head. I used my phone to call and Uber. "Arriving in 10 minutes" I sighed sitting down on the side walk. I sat there waiting, rain began pouring, I groaned throwing my head in my hand, tears began running down my face, I waited for the Uber to arrive.

A white suv pulled up and I got in. "Where to?" He asked, "Uhm 23 west drive." I said. He nodded and began driving. "What is a girl like you doing out on the streets by herself?" The man asked.

"My..." I paused. "I ran off and didn't have a car and I was raining so I called you" I made up an excuse. "Oh okay, I'll make sure to get you home safely." He smiled focusing on the road.

What the hell have I done!?
