Shiny like pearls

(First up is squid ink lol)

No ones POV:

You were on your local beach cleaning it up when you saw a black blob inching towards the water it made high pitched sobbing noises as it crawled to the watery heaven it eventually gave up and slumped you walked over to it and lightly poked it with a stick and it looked at you

The blob was infact a strange looking cookie instead it had teal eyes and they were crying non stop you gently pulled it to the water and set it in as it washed off the sand you realized the thing looked close to a squid "what's your name little one?" You asked curious

It huffed and said "squid....ink" in a shrilled sort of strained voice "how did you end up here squid ink?" To that squid looked up as if thinking "can't... remember" you nodded and thought of something "would you like to stay with me until you remember?" squid nodded and hopped onto you clinging tightly

You eventually brought squid into your home and set them in your bathtub filled with water and some salt squid seemed content with their little set up

Few months later

You and squid were close now as they learned to speak better sentences while around you you learned squid is actually an They not an it you loved the time with squid and you saw them as your kid they were the best kid you could've actually raised they seemed fascinated with anything shiny so you naturally made anything they wear sparkly

Their room had all kind of shiny trinkets and toys around hanging from the ceiling they loved it to death and they sometimes came back from the ocean with something for you
