Hello to you guys ! I found out quite recently I actually like Takao a lot. First, he's cool, second, he's cool, third, he's good looking, and fourth : he actually has an interesting way to involve himself yet stay away. So let's remind the rule in Kuroko no Basket : I do not ship, it's all friendship, feel free to fantasm but don't ask anything.
That sounds so bad... Well, let's start !Chapter One : Peace ends, who notices ?
-- Ah …
Takao let out a sigh, his hands crossed behind his neck. Midorima glare behind his shoulder, shortly, before turning back as he asked :
-- What is it again ? We won the match, don't even think to whine.
-- I wasn't about to, grinned the young point guard. But now that you mention it, it indeed is time.
-- Oh no…
-- With Kagami gone to the United States and Kiyoshi-sempai in his operation, Seirin refuses any proposition of match. And your copycat friend can't play for now. We can't possibly attend to play against this ace of your last team, he's so much… And we promised to take our revenge against Rakuzan in the next tournament ! Really, we have no one to play against to ! Why is life so cruel …?
Midorima admitted his friend had a point. Seirin swore to only strenghten their bases until next tournament and asking Akashi for a match was out of the question. In other words… they were bored. But that was no excuse.
-- The new recruits has to train, we can't do anything about that.
-- Ah ? annoyingly insisted Takao. Even with your super luck ?
With the end of last year, all their sempais graduated and now attended universities or special schools. Midorima and Takao became the regulars's sempais. Sure, there were Miyaji's and Otsubo's brothers but… Well, they had to work quite a bit to strenghten their collective spirit, and they had little time left for their friends. Even so, they'd always find some time to reunite regularly with the former team.
One of the good points was, after the last championship, the two former kohais had a special and precious bond as best friends even if Midorima was never going to admit that. Takao restrained a laugh.Takao was very empathic. With their semi-finals loss, he was already ln his knees from the failure his supposed to be revenge was. The long forgotten trauma had been resurfacing after their loss against Akashi. But then there was Midorima, whose state had been beyond words. They practiced together to forget after the disappearence of the second personnality of Teiko's former captain. And after their trusting play, it was even more easy to share their feeling, and heal themselves. They were still waiting for another chance to win, of course. However it was different. They had become real teammates. Takao's hawk eyes could see it. He could understand it.
-- My luck is not that good, this week, replied the striker with a 'hmph'. And yours is the worst of the day, please keep your distance with me.-- Ah ah, so cold, Shin-chan.
The team stopped near the trails. They were at the train station to go back to Shutoku. Surely they'd have to wait some ten or fifteen minutes before the next train. The kohais were arguing over their tastes at the front, Takao couldn't help but snicker. At the contrary of Midorima, he did like their stupid barking, as it reminded him of his past team and the former members of this one. Well, their successors were sure not as composed as their three sempais, but it didn't really matter in fact. At least, with these three figures of delinquance, they had little to no chance to get attacked and robbed.
Seriously, that was annoying, he remembered. There was a time when there were all kinds of little larcins and others criminal acts all around him. Since he could see it all with his special sight, he took the habit to go to the police quarter. Seriously, what would Midorima say if he knew ? Fortunately, he didn't remember being involved directly involved in a murder case ever-
Until now.
The team started to move again, but Midorima turned around as he did not sense his friend following.
-- Hey, we're going now- ...mn ..?!
Green eyes widened. But not as much as the silverish hawk eyes fearfully glued in front of them. His hand was clenched on his bag, the other was shivering, but all in all, Takao was frozen in place.
-- Takao, you-
-- Please, do me a favor and shut up.
Feeling the terror in his trembling voice, Midorima frowned, and moved a hand to help him. But before he could fully turn around, he heard a faint scream. He turned around, searching lazily for the owner of the voice. But then it was Takao who reached out for him. Pulling his sleeve, he hissed between his gritting teeth :
-- You better not look ! If you look, we're dead !
That was enough to ring an alarm bell in Midorima's mind. He didn't quite figured what was happening, but judging from Takao's look at this moment, it was probably dangerous. The greater danger he ever encountered.
Taking on him to help his friend, he took the weak wrist into his fingers, holding it firmly, and dragged the other teen toward the train, without looking back.
They entered the vehicule just as the doors were closing. Midorima didn't even let a sigh out before getting slightly away from the window. Then against the wall, he turned to his friend, about to ask about him. Before he could utter a single word, Takao collapsed against the wall, only staying on his feet thanks to Midorima's support.
-- Hey, Takao ! Take a grip on yourself, what happened ?
-- ...lp.-- Huh ?
Slowly, the already traumatised-looking boy held his hand to his head and whispered once more, and again, not able to stop anymore.
-- ...lp, ...p, h..p, hel…, help, help, help, help !...
