Peter woke early the mext morning. Although he could tell it was daylight, he kept his eyes shut tight."It was a dream," he told himself firmly, "I dreamed beating up Flash, I dreamed climibing a wall and jumping across terraces. When I open my eyes, I'll be back into my original body, spectacles and skinny face."
There was a suddenly a loud knock at the door.
"And there is he again late for the school" Peter thought his heart sinking. But he still didn't open his eyes. If it had been dream, it was such a good one.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
"Yea! I am up!" Peter mumbled, "All right, come in!"He sat up and Aunt May flung open the door, the clothes hung on its hooks falling in sequence. The room was full of sunlight washing from the wooden floor up to the blotchy ceiling and May stood staring at her sleepy nephew, wiping the morning yoga's sweat from her forhead.
"Ain't you up yet, Pete?" attacked May in a hurrying tone, as she watched Peter mumble sleepy words at her.
Peter yawned loudly, stretching up as he searched for his spectacles with his closed eyes.
"You have got your glasses broken Peter!" spoke May, her hands on her waist as she gave Peter a searching look, "Found those broken yesterday evening, after you left for school. Have sent those to be mended."
"My glasses?!" Peter gasped, his eyes widening at once. He could see clear, no blur, no hazy figures. So, it wasn't a dream. He still had the powers. Peter touched his face, his eyes accidently travelling to the spider-bite mark which had grow faint over the past two days but was still there. The two tiny red spots still reminding him that it wasn't a dream.
"Now, help yourself with sausages," May continued, pointing at the dish she had previously placed beside Peter's bed. "And be quick for the school, unless you want to miss the bus."
"I-wul-manaze-et-woutout-tha-bus-too-" Peter spoke, stuffing his mouth with the sausages.
But May wasn't listening, she rushed towards the window in the room. Clicking it open with a slight struggling push, she stared out and upwards towards the roof.
"Wazzit?" Peter spoke once again, his mouth filled with food as he pulled the sheets off his body, with a sausage in his hand.
"Nothing Pete, just checking if the halloween lights put up by Ben are still intact," May spoke with a sigh of relief, before closing the window. "They say, that a hooligan was spotted jumping across building last evening. He brought down an entire clothes line last night. Such a troublemaker. Its his luck, that his face wasn't spotted---"
Peter dropped the sausage from his hand.
"Uhm?" asked May, noticing the food drop and roll onto the floor.
"Mm?" said Peter. "Sorry."
"For?"
"For? Uhm," Peter fumbled, "for the sausage!" he completed, acting clueless.
"Oh gosh Pete! Be quick!" May laughed, as she stormed out of the room, "And we know, you will be going for the Halloween Party at school, tell us if you need help with the costume!"
"I haven't thought about the costume yet, May." Peter replied back, then suddenly feeling a edgy balloon burst inside him.
'I haven't thought about the costume yet?'
He murmered to himself.

Peter walked inside the school gates, admiring all the cool halloween decorations, with googling eyes. The school staffs along with seniors had thoroughly put in their efforts to make this party a grand halloween fest.
