You look at the uchiwa symbol with a contemplating gaze, your one-year-old mind attempting to trace back where you've seen it before.

Of course you've seen it before; from Father's uniform, from the back of your shirts, from the walls of the clan compound. It's a common and repetitive crest that seems to adorn every nook and cranny of your neighborhood.

However, there's just something so jarring about having a good look at it on the back of your brother's high-collared shirt. You know that the red and white fan has always been there, but with your infant mind being better developed than before, you can finally think.

You've seen the uchiwa symbol before-- before Father's uniform, before your shirts, and before the clan compound.

Before...

Before you became Kama.

Suddenly, something locked deep within your mind opened, exposing you to knowledge you shouldn't know and memories you shouldn't remember.

You finally wake up.

(And you wish you've stayed asleep.)

In the chaos of your rushed and overwhelming memory recollection, you fixate on what the uchiwa symbol meant-- what it stood for and who it represented.

"Uchiha." You murmur your first word with horrified awe, making your brother turn his back to look at you with open curiosity, and looking at him made you sick because you recognized him to be--

Uchiha Itachi.

At the realization of your predicament, you can't help but cry.

When Mother hears and comes to comfort you and you recognize her to be Uchiha Mikoto, you wailed.
