002: New Dimension

"You saw the unconscious girl here?" Tomioka pointed at the foliage covered floor which had some displaced patches of leaves.

"Yes, Tomioka-san~ haven't I repeated that enough times?" Shinobu sadistically grinned, growing used to teasing the older colleague.

"Just confirming." Now an irk mark made its way to her head as Giyuu shrugged off the remark with a poker face.

Y/n sighed at the duo's antics. She placed her hand on the box which made Tanjiro jump out of his thoughts. "It's night-time, so Nezuko's allowed out. Maybe that'll bring the portal here."

Everyone nodded at the h/c girl, expectantly waiting for Tanjiro to open the box. As the door swung open, everyone could see a child-sized figure of a black-haired girl with orange tips in a pink kimono, resting peacefully against the back.

"Come on, Nezuko. It's time to wake up," Tanjiro ushered, patting the top of the box as the girl arose from her slumber, crawling out of the box and resting her hands on the leaf litter.

"Hmp hmpph!" Nezuko turned to everyone surrounding her.

"We're on a special mission, Nezuko," Tanjiro explained to her, embarrassment making its way up to his ears when he felt everyone's gaze on them.

"Nezuko-chan is so cute!" Mitsuri jumped up, her eyes twinkling.

As Nezuko grew in size, Y/n turned around to the patch of leaf-litter that had been pushed aside, placing her hand on it. This is strange, she thought. Only a few hours ago, Shinobu-sama found the girl here, yet the ground has held the same shape.

"Why are we here again?" Muichiro mumbled, looking around himself in confusion with a dreamy look.

"We're on a special mission, you silly!" Shinobu poked him teasingly, turning to Y/n who was standing behind Giyuu and Rengoku.

Y/n turned around after bending over to examine the floor. "The so-called 'Time loop' hasn't appeared yet. Should we go back?"

"Master wouldn't like that!" Rengoku chirped, folding his arms while looking around vigilantly. "We can't go back and tell him we failed a mission he assigned six Hashiras to!"

"Y/n-chan! Behind you!" Tanjiro shouted as a strange portal opened itself behind the h/c girl, enveloping her and blinding the girl with a black vision.

Instinctively, Giyuu turned around and tried to grab the girl's hand (which he successfully did get a hold of) but the force the portal had also pulled the boy in.

"That's the portal!" Shinobu hurried towards it, afraid of letting the opportunity slip from her hands. "Tomioka-san! How dare you hold Y/n-chan's hand!"

"Come on Muichiro-kun! Don't stand there daydreaming!" Mitsuri grabbed the boy's hand and dragged him into the portal as Obanai followed.

"You four kids should jump in soon!" Rengoku ushered them, jumping into the portal.

"HECK YEAH! NO WAY AM I BEING THE LAST ONE!" Inosuke unsheathed his blades and rammed into the portal followed by Nezuko and Tanjiro, the latter telling him to be more cautious. Soon enough, it was just Zenitsu trembling in the dark of the forest, not even looking at the portal.

"I-I don't want to go!" he whined, turning to face it. "AHH TANJIRO! WHERE DID YOU GO!"

"Nezuko-chan!! Did you go too?" Zenitsu whimpered, crouching onto the ground and shaking like an entire earthquake before he felt his vision go black. "WHAT'S HAPPENING AHHH WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!"
