015: Trouble

On the right side of Isabella was a towering, dark-skinned lady with dark black hair framing her head. In the lady's hand was a suitcase, which she gripped ever so tightly. All the demon slayers' eyes widened in shock, clearly not having expected a new rival to arrive so early after their friends had been released from chores.

"H...huh?" the three eleven-year-olds stood in a line at the back, staring at the lady with dilated pupils.

Escaping seemed impossible now.

"Let me introduce them. This is Carol, one of your new siblings," Isabella fondly pointed at the salmon-haired child in her arms who yawned loudly. "The person next to me is Sister Krone. She's here to help me out with chores around the house!"

"A..An... Adult?" Emma stuttered in disbelief while stepping forward to examine Sister Krone.

"Isn't it also a bit too early for the new baby to come?!" Ray shook suddenly, trying to plant his jelly legs into the ground firmly. A second adult? How come?

We were so focused on the tracker and to act normally that we never thought that the number of adults would increase! Of course, Nezuko mentioned it but that just flew out of our minds! Norman's teeth ground together as he racked his mind for a way to combat the situation.

The threatening and the chores! Mitsuri gasped loudly as soon as she laid eyes on the new caretaker. It was all stalling and preparation for driving us into the corner!

Eeeek! She's so scary I could faint! There's no way we're escaping now! Zenitsu trembled as he watched the children swarmed around Isabella who was kneeling, showing Baby Carol to them.

We haven't been found out... We didn't react when she selected a few of us to do chores during free time... Tanjiro resisted the urge to hold his mouth in fear. So how did this happen? How come we're all shocked!

A new enemy! Argh! This isn't helping us! Inosuke crossed his hands over his body to reach for his Nichirin blades but as organised, they were in the hollow boulder back at their training site.

Norman, Ray, Giyuu, Y/n and Shinobu saw through her plan to see how we'd react... and yet she presumed even that would happen! Nezuko gripped onto Tanjiro's arm through sibling instinct for protection.

She decided to distract us for the time being, only to drive us into a corner later? Y/n's mouth tremored as she noticed Isabella's evil smirk aimed at Emma. She's a real monster!

Much more monstrous than demons! Shinobu smiled calmly, containing the bubbling anger while forcing it down her throat back into the pit of her stomach where it belonged.

Why am I shaking all over just looking at that sister in the eyes? Muichiro tried to calm his senses down by sending strength to his fingertips. I must act normal or else our cover will be blown!

Now there's only more willpower... Rengoku stared head on at the two adults with hatred like a burning fire.

To kill these traitors! Obanai squinted at them.

"Sister Krone?" Isabella spoke sideways to the second adult who bowed down in respect.

"I will be living with you all here, starting today! It's a pleasure to meet you all," Krone glared daggers at everyone from above, a smile wider than a sinkhole with the eyes of the devils.

We now have forty-nine children to save.

We have a new enemy.

We have Mother's underling.
