Mornings were despised by Jisoo. It signaled for her to get on with life and face all those peeving co-workers she loathed. But today was different as it was a weekend morning. Stretching her limbs groggily, she lay still under the comforter as her eyes were concentrated on the ceiling. The tawny-haired was certain that the detectable dent that she could see on the ceiling was not there before.
As she was about to get up for good, when she felt wet tingles on her feet. For others, the feeling must be absolutely repulsive but Jisoo was familiar with her dog's antics. The bag of cotton was licking her feet enthusiastically as his big black eyes glimmered. Whispering a soft 'Dalgom-ah' she sat up against the headboard and the fluffball jumped on her lap in an instant.
"You'll get your breakfast soon baby, hold on." She chuckled as she put the excited creature down and got up herself. Just one foot in her crocs and she could feel the gross liquid soaking her sole. With a pitiful look at her pee-soaked feet, the woman screamed.
"DALGOM-AH!"

The toaster dinged and the two toasts popped into view. Jisoo walked towards the counter while drying her hair off with the teal-colored towel. Plating her breakfast, she reached over the counter to grab the knife and started cutting up some fruits. Dalgom was messily devouring his can food which made the tawny-haired scoff a little. He was lucky she loved him.
"What do you think I should do today Dalgomie?" The dog perked up at the call of his name and barked, making his owner hum in return.
"Maybe I should go grocery shopping. There's barely anything in the pantry."
*Woof!*
"No no you're not coming with me. Remember the last time I took you there? Mrs Na almost banned us. Such a troublemaker you are." Snickering at his whiney bark, Jisoo sat down on the chair and started picking on her food. The plating made the contents look better than they were, but she still couldn't find the appetite to eat her breakfast. Maybe if she skipped her breakfast, that would bring some kind of change in her repetitive days. After all she couldn't expect any other change in her same old boring life.
*Woof!*
"Yes mister, I'll eat the entire thing." Ruffling his ever so soft fur, Jisoo smiled. The only constant in her life that she was happy with was this little fluffball. His eyes were fixated on Jisoo's hands, watching her take a bite of the scrambled eggs. As if to appreciate her, he gave a happy lick to her ankle which made her giggle a little.
"You're my favorite, baby. Mom's favorite boy."
*Woof!*
Scrolling through her phone while swallowing the decently made breakfast, Jisoo completely lost track of time. By the time she was off her socials, it was already noon.
"What the hell, how come it's twelve already." she cried out, irritation making her cranky. Placing all the dishes in the sink, she rushed to the other side of the room to open the fridge. Feeling restlessness get the better of her, she closed the door and decided on having ramen for lunch. Adulting was fun.
Now that she looked around herself, she realized she could tidy up the house a little bit. Her aunt's farmhouse was vast with all mod cons. When she had taken up the research project in the countryside, her aunt had herself offered the place for her stay as the older woman was now shifting to the city. For a business major, it was the perfect place with potential clients for study.
Getting the vacuum cleaner out, Jisoo started off with the living room first. Dalgom was sitting on the couch snugly as his owner continued cleaning. Sliding the curtains to the side, the sunlight greeted the inhabitants and Dalgom yawned. Jisoo had grown to love such mornings.
Suddenly the inertia of the house was disturbed by the loud doorbell. The dog got up red alert, leaping off the couch and sprinting towards the door. The barks grew in intensity and Jisoo left her cleaning appliances to attend the door. Ruffling his fur, she confusedly grabbed the door handle. Sure , it had been more than three months since her stay there but that didn't get her any close acquaintances. She barely talked to people at her work, let alone make friends. So naturally, it didn't ensure any regular visitors.
"Huh? A package?" Dalgom ran right into the box, falling back at the impact. Laughing at her dog's excitement, the woman now turned her attention at the abnormally large box. She hadn't ordered anything recently and this was way bigger than any item she had ever ordered. Inspecting it a little more closely, she shrieked when she saw the box move slightly. Dalgom's barks had grown in frequency and she herself was wide eyed. Was there a living creature inside the large box?
When she knocked against the box lightly, she wasn't really expecting the box or its contents to respond.
