The party was a disaster.
Well, the definition begged to differ but for Jisoo, that's what it felt like.
After making sure her Dalgomie was well fed and content, the pair had started to make their way to Jisoo's boss's house. Now the first dilemma she faced was the mode of transport they were to take to reach there.
Taehyung offered to lend his cupid wings but unfortunately realized, he hadn't brought them to earth. After a minute of contemplation, the tawny haired started brisk walking without a word and Taehyung had to yell and speed up to meet up with her.
Bickering a little, the odd pair finally had reached at their destination. The house was a normal one, smaller that her aunt's farmhouse but nevertheless looked decent enough. Just as Jisoo was about to ring the doorbell, Taehyung slapped her hand away slightly to which she looked even more annoyed and furious.
"What!" She said with gritted teeth. Looking nothing near apologetic, the man simply pointed at the doorbell and then at himself.
Jisoo scoffed in disbelief. The hazel haired wanted to ring the doorbell as if it was some sort of a play thing. After she'd spent half an hour at the thrift store searching for some suitable clothing for him, he still wanted to act like a brat. Sure, it was childish to fight over who would ring the doorbell but with her brain being fogged with irritation, she couldn't think rationally.
"No you're not. I will, it's my boss's place."
"But I love ringing this bell thing! I even rang the bell of your house, remember?"
"Oh how could I forget? Because since that day, I've had to look after a clumsy twit!"
"How dare you call me a twit you rage filled human-"
"Ahh if it isn't my favorite worker, oh and uh is this your plus one?" Kyungsoo stood by the wide opened door, looking at the two who were previously bickering skeptically. Jisoo quickly turned her pressed lips into a forceful smile and turned towards her boss.
"Happy birthday Mr- I mean, Kyungsoo."
"I'm happy that you were safely delivered into this world from your mother's womb. Congratulations on making it from her amniotic filled uterus and being pushed out-"
"Taehyung that's enough!" Jisoo whisper yelled, pinching his arm to stop him from embarrassing her further. Taehyung yelped a little 'ow' and Kyungsoo looked puzzled. He kept intently staring at the two for a while before stepping into Taehyung's personal space.
"You, you're nothing like from around here."
"That's because I'm from-"
"Pranksters are always addressed like that aren't they?" A laughing roar filled the porch as Jisoo and Taehyung both were quite confused. Kyungsoo's laughter continued for a minute or two and then, wiping the tears collected around his eyes, he patted Taehyung's back and took him inside.
Leaving Jisoo alone on the porch bewildered.
That didn't just happen did it?

"Taehyung, tell Jimin that joke you told me before."
"Joke? No- that wasn't a joke Mr Doh, I have seriously had a bun in the oven. It was a project and I was one of the few who succeeded." The boss's laughter tripled in vigor, the sound echoing through the dining hall. Jisoo and Jimin sat next to each other and looked unimpressed.
"So when is their wedding?" asked Jimin sarcastically, looking at the two men sitting across them out of which, one was clueless and the other was enjoying the other's cluelessness, thinking Taehyung was doing it on purpose.
"Hopefully soon enough, these two half wits are perfect for each other." Jisoo replied, the blonde couldn't help but chuckle. Although she knew Taehyung wasn't a half wit but just simply from another planet, she couldn't blow his secret. It would get the both of them into a lot of unnecessary questioning.
"Where did you even find this dork?"
"He was delivered to my home."
"Your humor is certainly getting better Kim."
The night went on with some lame pranks played by the host and Taehyung's oversensitive reactions fueling the other's urge to play them even more. The man was a clean slate, devoid of any of the common antics and jokes which was an advantage for Kyungsoo who used that to his full advantage. By the end of the night, after choking down a decent dinner, Jisoo grabbed the man with by his bomber jacket's collar and urged him to get going.
"Thank you for the dinner, it was wonderful." Oh how much more of this fake act had she have to play.
"Well, I would throw more of such parties if it means you'll bring along this gentleman." He slapped Taehyung's back fondly, making the former confused as to why he was being hit and pinched so much that night.
The cool breeze was blowing against their faces, making the two quiver in cold a little. Jisoo's muffled up scarf wrapped around her neck cozily was being eyed longingly by the alien and of course, she noticed but decided not to say anything for a while.
Till the gaze became unbearable.
"What?" She asked, rubbing the sleeves of her jumper to fight off the cold a little. The man was wearing a plain white tee with a bomber jacket over it, the puffed up jacket doing nothing to keep his body warmth secure. Jisoo knew the answer obviously, but still hoped he wouldn't ask for it.
"Can I have that fuzzy cloth around my neck for a while." The woman groaned.
"Pleasee, pretty please?"

Dalgom was greeted with the sight of his owner and the strange man, whose neck was covered with his owner's precious woolen scarf which was something she never shared. She wouldn't even let the cute shih poo to bite it.
Jisoo tiredly left for her room upstairs, Dalgom trailing behind followed by the alien. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light. The business major didn't know why exactly she was this exhausted but if that meant a deep slumber, she wouldn't complain. She didn't even complain when the alien, who by the way still had the soft scented scarf round his neck, climbed inside the comforter from the opposite end of the bed. Their legs were overlapping due to the odd positioning but neither seemed to protest.
