That was a total disasterBut somehow the team I was on managed to win.
Sports were always entertaining to watch but being in them was a whole different ball game, pun intended.
" You have one hell an arm !" Bryan said to me as the other players started to leave.
He was smiling, out of breath with a light coat of sweat glistening on his skin.
I returned the smile proud at the recognition but it quickly dissipated. It was true I had more fun then I expected but I wasn't here to have fun.
" Come on, a deal's a deal." I said.
The once joyous expression left his face. He looked around frustrated but with caution to make sure no one was in listening range.
" Look Laurence I don't know what else you want from me, I kissed him, and I'm sorry. He pulled away, he didn't kiss me back what else is there to say ?"" So what ? Am I suppose to be satisfied with that !? There's a shit-ton of things we-
I noticed some of the guys were looking at our increase in volume, probably expecting us to fight and like the highschool vultures they are, pulled out there phones trying to discreetly record us.
I lowered my voice and spoke through gritted teeth.
" Bryan, can you stop being stubborn and just come with me ?"
the guys started to get closer to us, forming somewhat of a circle with devious smiles expecting violence.
Bryan looked around at every single one of them before back to me.
" I'm not your lap dog ! I'm not following you anywhere and I'm tired of everyone treating me like some stupid throw away." He said before shoving me.
There was some encouragement and taunts from the guys that were starting to form a tighter circle around us.
They trapped me and Bryan in the center, all their phones on us ready for the big show down as the taunting and yells of 'fight! fight! fight!' grew louder.
I caught Bryan's glossy eyes and tense jaw. His hands were shaking and his shoulders moved nervously.
I understood now.
" Alright, if this is what you want." I said.
The crowd grew in excitement as I started to walk towards Bryan but quickly died down in confusion as I just moved him out my way and pushed my way out the horde.
He didn't want to fight me as much as I didn't want to fight him, it was written all over his body language.
I heard the crowd curse at me, call me all sorts of names for walking away but nothing I haven't heard before and nothing that would of made me turn back anyway. I wasn't going to fight my friend for them.
