One kiss is all it takes, falling in love with me..

The sound of metal clanging and a faint Dua Lipa song filled my background as I watched every second pass by on the clock.

Time was not moving fast enough for me.

Ever have one of those days where you feel like time was just going by super slow?

Yeah, that's how I was feeling right about now.

I worked at this quaint little ice cream shop and don't get me wrong I liked working here, this just this wasn't the life I had envisioned for me at 22.

I was doing the same thing everyday, same schedule for a couple months now and I was sick of it.

I wanted to do other things, things that I promised my ma and pa' I'd do when I got older.

But like always, life got In the way.

Doesn't it always?

"You know, Staring won't make the time go by any faster." One of my co-workers, Ashley spoke as we both sat by the sliding windows to take peoples orders.

Fortunately, no one was there so we could chill.

I was enjoying the time while I could because I knew it wouldn't last long, our shop was right down the block from an elementary school and they get out in about 5 minutes.

Pretty soon this place will be filled with kids and screaming which flavors they want.

Yay me.

I can't complain too much though, the pay was good and I liked kids for the most part.

As long as I could return them back to sender by the end of the night.

"I know, I'm just so bored." I sighed just as our manager, James came over.

"Hey Sam, we need you at the cash register!" He explained.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuggitty, fuck

I hated working the register when it was about to be busy.

I hated working the register period.

Like I said, you know I love kids and all but all the screaming, the crying and god, those tantrums? even I have my limits with them.

You'd think they'd be worn out after hours In school but nope.
