Chapter 1

So, I had to publish this chapter again because I was reading this on my phone after I published it the first time, and it showed me the old version of the chapter. Then, I log into my laptop and check it on here (which is where I wrote the chapter) and find that it is the newer chapter... I hope this doesn't confuse anyone...

~ Kimiko POV ~

Everything is going to shit. Large sticks are flying at us and our teammates are dropping like flies!

Think Kimiko, think! How can you help out? Get Naruto closer to the 10 tails! That's all I can do for now...

"Naruto! Let's go!" I called out to my blond best friend, he looked over to me and nodded in understanding. I run towards the enemy with Naruto and the rest of our comrades following close behind. "We need to get you closer!" I inform, facing the front.

"Alright!" He called back, picking up the pace as we advance. I felt the urge to look up above us, so I trusted my instincts and looked. Just as I did so, I saw one of the wooden spikes head straight towards the man I considered a brother.

"Naruto!" I called out, shoving the said ninja out of the way of the oncoming spike. I didn't have time to use my Budōnoki so I couldn't stop the spike. The next few moments came as if it were happening in slow motion. Pain erupted through my whole body as Naruto's, and everyone else's, eyes widened in shock and horror. I fell towards the ground but before I hit, I was caught by my teammate. I could feel the blood leaking out of my mouth as time seemed to catch up and play as if it never slowed.

"Kimiko! Hey!" Naruto shook me as I coughed, the pain almost becoming unbearable. Almost. "Stay with me Kimiko! Why!? Why did you do it!?" He was in tears now. 

Sakura knelt beside me and started trying to heal my wounds.

"Sakura, don't. Save your... chakra." I panted out. I was growing so tired, the past few hours of fighting finally taking its toll on both my mind and body.

"But Kimiko-!" She tried to protest.

"Please. You need... to save it for this... doofus," I shakily pointed to Naruto who continued to cry and hold my body close to his. "We all know... this idiot would need it... more than me... anyways. To answer... your question Naruto... You are our biggest priority. ...YOU are the one who... will win this war." I choked out.

"Can you do me a favour...?" I asked, looking him in the eyes.

"Yeah, of course." He wiped his tears.

"Become Hokage, achieve your dream... and tell Kakashi-sensei that he became a really good older brother to me."

"I will!"

"Sakura, I want you to know... I saw you like a sister. I'm so proud of you." I smiled weakly. "You've changed so much since I first met you."

"Kimiko..." Tears streamed down her face faster as she tried to rub them away.

"Tell Sasuke I saw his annoying, emo ass as a brother too." I smiled and choked a laugh with closed eyes.

"You have to do it yourself... Dummy." She joked.

"And Naruto. I saw you as such a pain in the ass... but man, do I love you. You were the best a friend could ask for and I'm glad I could call you my brother." I cried, tears spilling and mixing with my blood. "Stay strong for me and know that I will never stop loving you all."
