We walk over to the bonfire, and I have no idea how to act. Usually, I would be trying to hook up with someone or throwing myself at Trevor. There are no chairs available, so I sit beside Reece on a wooden log.
"Where have you been?" Reece asks me, concerned.
"Going over stuff with Rosa for tomorrow," I answer her.
"So, are we going to the Decoy tonight?" Brady asks the group. "Live music starts at 10pm tonight." He says, and I pout. I turn 21 next month, and everyone at the Decoy knows that and they will not let me in until I'm legally old enough.
"Derek, stay with me." Amber whines, knowing she can't go either. I laugh.
"Babe, I'm only going to go for a little bit. You will be fine here." He insists.
"I charge $100 an hour to babysit," I say to him, catching the dirty look he is throwing at me. "I didn't invite her, she isn't my guest, and I will not be responsible for your guest. Either you stay, or you kennel her." I say.
"You are such a bitch" Amber says, rolling her eyes.
"Hey!" Brady shouts out, and Amber shrinks back. "Do not disrespect my sister in her home. When she says something catty, you can simply ignore her. You are a guest here, not her." Brady corrects Amber, and I gawk at him. What the hell is going on? He never sides with me when I get into it with Amber; he usually chastises me for lack of hospitality.
Amber gets up and storms off. Derek laughs but doesn't follow her.
My phone vibrates, and I pull it out and check it. It's a text from an email address I don't recognize.
: It is weird that you are not sitting on my lap.
I look up and scan the circle. I hadn't realized that Trevor had taken a seat next to Brady. I text back.
Me: It's not that weird.
I watch as Trevor checks the text with his watch.
Me: Do you miss me cock blocking you? That's why I do it, to make sure the other girls know I have dibs. Lol.
He rechecks his watch, then pulls out his phone and responds.
: I know why you do it.
I smile as I read the text. My phone notifies me that I have a Snapchat from Derek, but I ignore it.
Me: Just to get a "rise" out of you.
: Get over here NOW.
I read his text and look over at him cocking an eyebrow. I glance over at Derek, who lifts his phone up, trying to get me to respond. I open Snapchat:
Derek: I'll skip the bar and come to you.
Derek: I need you
I roll my eyes and respond with a picture of the fire,
Me: Nah, I'm good.
Another text message comes through.
: Obedience= rewards. Disobedience= punishment.
ME: Intriguing...
I get up and walk into the kitchen to grab my starbursts and a few roasting sticks. When I walk back to the bonfire, I plop myself onto Trevor's lap like I always do.
"Good girl," he whispers in my ear. My phone vibrates in my back pocket, and I ignore it. I offer starbursts and roasting sticks out and start to roast a starburst, my phone vibrates again. Then again.
"Are you going to check that?" Trevor asks me.
"No," I answer back.
"Honestly, Sawyer, quit harassing Trevor, find another seat," Brady says laughing while pulling the redhead from last night onto his lap,
"No," I answer him.
"Check your phone, Sawyer, or I will," Trevor growls into my ear. I take out my phone, hand it to Trevor, and then look at Derek, who shakes his head with big eyes. I look at him with a glare that says serves you right, idiot, learn to take no for an answer.
"What is your passcode?" Trevor asks me.
"Your birthday," I answer him honestly; I am rewarded with a soft stroke of his hand on my back.
"Brady, I told Rosa to plan for 12 for breakfast. When are Meg and Aaron getting in?" I ask him, and he shrugs at me.
"She said to tell you she will pack sandwiches in the morning for lunch tomorrow and that we are having a Nacho Bar for dinner with Tri-Tip." I finish reporting as Trevor puts a hand on my hip and digs his fingers in.
"Sounds good. Thanks for checking in." Brady says, "I want to be out on the water by 9am." He informs me.
"No," I answer him defiantly. "11am," I negotiate. "Back me up on this, Trevor, please," I ask sweetly.
"I am with Sawyer on this; 9am is way too early." Trevors agrees, and I lay back on him to show my appreciation. Usually, he would push me back up, but he didn't this time.
"I agree. 11 am is more reasonable." The red-haired girl says, and I start to bounce on Trevor's lap to show my excitement that people agree with me. He quickly steadies me as I feel him begin to wake up underneath me from the friction.
"See," I smirk at Brady. He bites the red-haired girl's shoulder to show his disapproval. "What's your name?" I ask her. I shift a bit in my seat, knowing that I am rubbing up against Trevor's erection. He inhales quickly and digs his fingers into my hip deeper.
"Annmarie," she says sweetly.
"I'm Sawyer," I answer her sweetly back. "Baby sister and boss of Brady," I say, and she giggles.
"Listen to Annmarie, Brady. She knows what she's talking about," I say, knowing that giving her a compliment puts Brady in a challenging position. He will want to agree with her if he plans to get laid.
"Ok, 10:30 is my compromise." He says.
"Deal," I say with a little shimmy, knowing that I am rubbing myself against Trevor again.
"Pay attention to your damn Starburst," Trevor barks. I haven't had my roasting stick in the fire during this conversation. It has been pointed straight up in the air the whole time.
"Stop torturing Trevor," Brady chides again.
"Never," I answer and earn a squeeze of the hip and cock twitch from Trevor.
