"I need to talk to you,." Jess says super serious.
"Ok" I say getting kind of freaked out.
"Earlier today, when I was helping Brady in the boat house. We kissed." Jess blurts out.
"You kissed Brady?" I ask her.
"I think he kissed me." She says and looks at me with a face that looks like she is going to be sick.
"Did it gross you out?" I ask her.
"No.....I liked it." She says.
"Then fix your face, because I can't get a read on the situation." I say laughing. "What do you mean you think he kissed you?"
Jess starts to act weird. "Jess, if you are being squeamish about him being my brother, realize I don't care what either of you do, you are both consenting adults, as long as whatever this turns into doesn't effect us or our hanging out together. So pretend he is some other guy, and dish, only no spicy details please."
"Oh God, thank you. I wasn't sure how you would react, because he is your brother, and he gets weird about his friends and you."
"He only gets weird about Derek actually." I correct her.
She jumps into the whole situation. They had been flirting back and forth all week, he had given some lingering touches, etc. While in the boathouse she commented that Annmarie hadn't been back around and asked what happened there. He said he just wasn't feeling it and didn't want to lead her on. She told him she appreciated that he was the kind of guy that respected women enough to be upfront like that and not play games. He told her while he was being upfront he wanted her to know he was attracted to her, she said it was mutual and he kissed her.
"Kissed you like how?"
"Soft at first, a little tongue, it got mildly spicy, then he brought it back down to PG, and ended it,"
"Then what?" I asked her.
"I said 'Thank you' and walked out of the boathouse,"
"Well that was polite of you." I tease her.
"Now I feel like an idiot, what do I do?" She asks me.
"Send him a nude." I suggest.
"Sawyer!! I am serious. I really want to see if this is a thing." She whines.
"Then you better send him two nudes, one of your girls, and another of your lady bits. Want me to take the picture for you so it will be from a flattering angle? I will do that for you, I'm that kind of friend." I tease.
"I love you, but sometimes you are the worst." She says hiding her head in her hands.
"Ok, ok, why don't you just text him "hi" and put the ball in his court, then follow his lead. " I tell her.
"That is a great idea." She agrees then picks up her phone and does just that. Immediately Brady texts her back.
"He text back, oh my gosh. He said hi." She says giggling like a little girl. "What do I do?"
"Nothing, wait until he gives you something to work with, just responding back hi is bullshit." I say and as soon as I finish my sentence he texts her again,
"He asked if everything is ok? Crap, he probably thinks you need help," she says looking devastated.
"Doubtful, or he would have text me, just say that everything is fine, you were just thinking about him." I coach her.
"That is very forward." She says to me in shock.
"For a girl who talks a big game, you are more like Reece when an actual boy is in the picture." I say rolling my eyes. "It's not as forward as kissing in the boathouse"
