Heading home after practice, the sun was already down and Ramona had less than an hour to get ready for her date tonight. Getting out of the car along with Miguel and her father, the two teens laughing as they swung mock punches at one another, "No, I definitely caught you with that one, I won that fight," Miguel said in response to their sparring debate that they'd been having since they got in the car.

"No way, if you won, you'd know," Ramona corrected him with a laugh, pushing him playfully as he shook his head, trying to convince himself and her.

"No, no, no," he repeated with a shake of his hand, the two stumbling after their Sensei tiredly. "I definitely got you out of the border before you landed that hit, which was a lucky hit by the way," he rubbed his side in remembrance, she giggles at that and still denies him his supposed victory that he was so set on.

"My feet were literally just inside the line, if I did hit you, it would've meant my hit didn't matter in the first place and we'd have had to keep going, so only one person can settle this," Ramona said, Miguel gave her a confused look before they both spin over to look at their Sensei, "Dad!"

"Sensei!"

The man sighs, having had to hear the stupid debate since he got in the car, "What?" he groaned out, "You wanna hear your scores? Fine," he pointed to Miguel as the two skidded to a stop in front of him, "You were too focused on her placement and that's why you fell, next time keep your guard where it's supposed to be," he lectured before turning to his daughter, "And no, you did not win. You were out of bounds. And you could've taken him out earlier with a side sweep if you hadn't opened yourself up with that hook kick," he berated the both of you before turning to walk back towards the apartments and away from the parking spots.

The two of them stood there for a moment, before Miguel suddenly perked up, "See, you didn't win, aha!" he pointed at her, grinning from ear to ear, excitedly.

She was knocked out of her stupor with his loud shout, slapping his pointer finger from her face with a chuckle. "Neither did you, dufus!"

"Fine, then, rematch," he announced, determined. "Next class, in front of everybody. In front of the world!" He spread his arms out, high on something obviously, breathing heavily as he looked up dramatically.

She gives him a weirded out look. "Are you ok?"

"Probably not," he answered truthfully, he continued to grin though. "I'm running on two hours of sleep and a cup a morocho."

She breathed a laugh, patting his back, pityingly. "Let's get you home, Migs," she pulled him along, the two friends catching up with Johnny. Only to see him already stopping to converse with Ms. Diaz, or Carmen, around the corner.

"Hey, guys," the woman smiles upon seeing them, "How was training?"

"Oh, your son's doing great," Johnny pats Miguel on the back.
