Sairat - Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge

Chapter 2 - Yaadein

Pakhi: Sai (She said a little louder)

Pakhi: Kuch bologe? Virat ke saath kya hua hai?

(Will you say something? What happened to Virat?)

Sai didn't respond. DIG sir came and greeted the family. He explained what happened and Sai still didn't move. They were all upset and worried about Virat, and Sai's lack of response scared them more. DIG sir however was glad to see her calm...as he remembered how frantic she was before.

They all waited patiently. A while after, the doctors came out and informed them that the operation was successful. The family, Sai and DIG sir were relieved. The doctor said he would be unconscious for a few hours and they couldn't meet him until the next day.  DIG sir said he would return the next day. Reluctantly the family agreed to go home...but Sai insisted that she would stay. 

Pakhi: Kyu Sai? Tum bhool gayi ho...ki ab tumhara aur Virat ke beech mein koi rishta nahi hai? Mera matlab...agar koi rahega hospital mein, to vo parivaar se hona chahiye na

(Why Sai? You have forgotten that now there is no relation between you and Virat? I mean... if someone stays in the hospital, then they should be from the family, shouldn't they?)

Sai got angry. Really angry. She knew Pakhi was right...but none of that mattered to her right now. And hearing it just made her angry.

Sai: Pakhi didi main abhi bhi Virat sir ki legally wedded wife hun. Aur yaha par rehna ka poora haq hai mujhe. Aur mujhe aapko ya kisi ko bhi safai dene ki zaroorat nahi hai (She said angrily)

(Pakhi didi I am still Virat sir's legally married wife. And I have every right to stay here. And I don't need to explain to you or anyone)

Pakhi: Aur Shruti? Agar vo yaha aaye to?

(And Shruti? What if she comes here?)

Hearing Shruti's name hurt Sai. It brought back all the painful memories. Tears started to form in her eyes. 

Samrat: Patralekha (Samrat warned)

Pakhi: Main sach to bol raha hun

(I'm telling the truth)

Sai (in her mind): Pakhi didi sahi to keh rahi hai...agar Shruti yaha aaye to main kya karungi...ab mujhe Virat sir par koi haq nahi hai

(Pakhi didi is right... what will I do if Shruti comes here... now I have no right on Virat sir)

Shivani: Sai...mere khayal se tumhe ghar chalna chahiye. Thoda rest kar lijiye. Bahut jhela hai tumhe, upar se blood donate kiya hai. Tumhe araam ki bahut zaroorat hai.

(Sai... I think you should come home. Take some rest. You have suffered a lot, donated blood too. You need a lot of rest.)

Sai: Lekin Bua

(But Bua)

Shivani: Hum sab vapas aayenge kal. Chalo ghar chalo

(We will all come back tomorrow. let's go home)

Sai stopped...she couldn't go back to Chavan Niwas. She told them she would go back to her flat...so Shivani insisted she would stay with her. Sai finally accepted and they all left. 

That night

That night Sai couldn't sleep. She tried but everytime she closed her eyes she heard the gunshot, she remembered him bleeding on the ground and got up crying. She tried to convince herself not to. She kept remembering how she lost her Aaba and how she almost lost Virat too the last time he got shot.
