Finally we arrived at my house. I started getting out when Dylan starting getting out as well.

"What are you doing?" I asked laughing a little.

"I was gonna walk you to your door." He said looking like a puppy who was just scolded.

"You don't have to." I smiled.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes I'm fine Dylan. Thank you though, goodnight." I smiled.

"Goodnight Aubrey." He said smiling. I walked in the door to a surprise.

Lenny was home. "Hey! I didn't know you were coming home!" I said while hugging her.

"Me neither." She giggled.

"She stayed up waiting for you to get home kiddo." Janice walked around the corner.

"Did you?" I asked Lenny.

"Yes I did." She said in such a high pitched little girl voice.

"Well I'm home now, and I'm pretty tired! You ready for bed?"

"Yes let's go!" Lenny replied.

"Okay! Goodnight mom." I said while picking up Lenny to take her to bed.

"Goodnight girls." Janice smiled.

I got up the steps and put Lenny in my bed. Normally she would sleep in her bed, but I figured she wouldn't mind sleeping with me to night. I missed her.

"I'm gonna go get changed, goodnight." I said pushing back the hairs on her head, planting a kiss on her forehead. She laughed.

"Goodnight Aubs." She replied.

I walked in to the bathroom to change in to sleep clothes. I came back to a snoring Lenny. How does she fall asleep that fast? I laughed to myself. I laid in bed with her and closed my eyes.

Ding ding

I was startled at the sound of a text. I rolled over to check my phone. It was Dylan.

"Hope you had fun to night koko." It read.

I smiled uncontrollably.

"I did. Goodnight." I texted back quickly. He texted back almost instantly.

"Goodnight."

And off to sleep I went.

* * *
I woke up and Lenny was still sleeping. She had stayed up late waiting for me to come home so I figured I would let her sleep. I walked down stairs and into the kitchen to see my mother cooking breakfast.

"Happy Lenny is here?" She asked while flipping bacon.

I was happy she was here, but now I can't see Dylan today. That sounds horrible for me to say.

"Of course." I smiled.

"Well I actually have take her home after breakfast. Your dad called." She said flatly.

"Oh, okay. Well do you want me to take her? I was going to stop by Dylans later." I replied.

"Yeah that would be great. Thanks kiddo."

"Good morning!" Shouted a little voice from upstairs. Mom and I exchanged looks and laughed.

"Good morning darling!" Mom said to Lenny as she picked her up.

"Time to eat?" Lenny asked. She is such a perky kid.

"Yep. Why don't you help Aubrey help set the table?"

"Okay!" She replied.

Lenny and I both set the table, I put out the plates, she put out the forks, then mom put food on every plate. We all sat down and ate quietly. When I was finished eating I cleaned my plate and got dressed and ready to go to Dylan's.

I was wearing grey leggings, with a white tank top and sneakers. I didn't want to over dress for where we were going. I also sprayed and extra spray of perfume, I didn't care if I smelled too good.

I walked downstairs and Lenny was already by the door ready to go. Mom hugged her goodbye, and we walked to my car.

We pulled out of the drive way and drove to my fathers house. It was a quick drive since he lives close. Him and Veronica, his girlfriend, got a house together last year and Lenny lives with them. I don't really like Veronica but I put up with her for Lenny.

"Okay we're here." I pulled into their driveway. Lenny hugged me and got out.

"Love you Aubs!"

"Love you too! Bye!" I replied.

Veronica came out and waved but I pretended not to see her and pulled away. The drive to Dylans was short as well, he lived closer to dads then I did.

I pulled up to his house and he was already outside taking the trash out. He saw my truck and knew it was me. I got out leaning up against the car and smiled.

"Get in" I spoke while smiling.

He was covering his eyes with his hands shielding the sun. He started laughing "That sounds inviting. Where are we going?" he said in his usual sarcastic tone.

"It's a surprise come on!" I waved my hand and got in the car waiting for him.

He got in the car and let out a breath. "Should I be scared?" He asked.

"Maybe." I said sarcastically.

We were going to a spot I found in the middle of the woods a while back. It was so peaceful and serene, so I figured he could use a break from Delilah. I used to go there when my parents got divorced and stay there all day sitting on this giant rock. I even brought blankets and slept there one time. Nobody ever goes into that part of the woods so it's safe.

We stopped the car and I grabbed the blankets and handed Dylan the pillows from the backseat. You had to walk some of the way there because you couldn't take a car. Which I found even more peaceful.

I got out and started walking and realized Dylan wasn't following. I turned around "You coming?" I shouted.

He looked at me then at the pillows and blankets. "What exactly are we doing?" He asked.

I started laughing. He probably thought I was trying to molest him in the middle of the woods. "Oh relax!" I said and started walking again, this time he was following.

We finally arrived and I started putting the blankets down on the giant rock I'm so familiar with.

"Wow" his mouth gaped open. "This is..it's"

"beautiful" I finished for him.

He tossed the pillows down and I sat down. "Sit" i gestured for him the sit down.

"You're parents aren't gonna think you're missing will they?" I laughed.

"No, they are actually out of town. I'm home alone for the weekend."

"Oh cool."

"So how did you find this place?" He asked still stunned at how amazing this place is.

"When my parents got divorced I came here when I needed to get away. I've never brought anybody with me before." I told him.

"Why did you bring me?" He asked.

"Because I trust you." I smiled bringing my knees to my chest.

"Aubrey?" He said.

"Yeah?"

"Delilah broke up with me this morning." He replied.

"Wow, I'm sorry Dylan." I said.

I felt bad that I had just pulled up to his house unexpectedly and basically kidnapped him. His girlfriend just dumped him, I probably should've left him alone.

"I'm glad you brought me here." He laid back and closed his eyes. I did the same. Eventually listening to all the sounds around me put me to sleep.
