I drove home slower this time, because I saw a cop and didn't want to get pulled over.
When I finally got home I was relieved to not be out driving anymore.
I hate cops, they scare me.
I walked in the door to my mom sitting on the couch. I was shocked.
"How did you get home!" I screamed and ran to hug her.
"Your father actually picked me up. He took me out to lunch and then he brought me home." She said releasing me from the hug.
"You guys went out to lunch together?" I said furrowing a brow.
"Yeah it was nice catching up with him actually." She said smiling.
"Hmm." I nodded.
"Well I'm glad you're home," I laughed, "it was weird being here by myself." I said smiling.
"I'm glad to be back. Hospitals suck." She smiled.
"Now we can have a girls week, just the two of us." She said.
"Actually, there's something I wanted to ask you." I smiled innocently.
"What?" She asked in her stern mom voice.
"Well Amber rented this beach house for us this week and we are supposed to leave tonight but I told her I would come in the morning. Isaacs even going. Would it be it be okay if I do?" I asked.
She stopped for a second to think, then took a deep breathe.
"Sure. We can do girls week another time." She smiled.
I was so relieved.
"Thank you!" I smiled.
"Well listen kid, I hate to cut our reunion short, but I'm exhausted, so I'm gonna go to bed early tonight." She grinned and walked up to her room.
"Goodnight." I said to myself since she was already gone.
I sighed to myself and laid down on the couch.
It was too early for me to go to sleep, so I just relaxed for a while.
Then my phone buzzed in my pants. It was a text from Isaac.
"Hey" it read.
I wasn't really in the mood for conversation right now, but I texted back anyways, "hey isaac".
He texted back two minutes later, "You wanna come over?" It read.
Really I had nothing better to do, so I texted back sure and got up.
There was no use in telling mom goodbye, she was probably already asleep, so I just left.
When I got to his house he was on his porch that he loved so much.
There was a cute little swing that he was rocking back and forth in, so I joined.
"What's up?" I asked, swinging my feet along with the swing.
"I just, I wanted to know if you were okay with me going to this beach house with you guys." He lightly smiled.
He was so considerate. It was nice.
"Honestly at first I was iffy, but then I realized, it you. I don't care if you come." I smiled back.
"Thanks. Does Dylan hate me?" He asked looking down.
"I don't think so Isaac." I said.
"Good, cause I was hoping him and I could be friends." He smiled.
