THE NEXT DAY
"Are you ready?",Brad asked Ashlynn who was fixing her hair.
She wore a beautiful blue dress with her Crystal heels.
"Can't you be patient for once in your life?!",Ashlynn was getting annoyed at Brad. It was the sixth time he's asking the same question.
"Well- I don't want to be late, ya know?",Brad asked, raising an eyebrow at Ashlynn.
"No, I don't know.",Ashlynn rolled her eyes.
"Why am I even here?",Brad shook his head and facepalmed himself.
"One- because I don't know the address and two- I don't know anyone there so obviously, I need someone to do the introductions, don't I?",Ashlynn smirked.
"And I'm gonna be your introduction man?",Brad raised an eyebrow at her in disbelief.
"And my chaperone.",Ashlynn added.
"Remind me- why am I doing this for you again?",Brad groaned.
"There is a thousand reasons. First- I literally saved your life from that man the other day, second- I brought you to the hospital and saved you, third- I arranged a date for you and Kylie, Fourth- I canceled your wedding, Fifth-",Ashlynn began listing all the reasons until Brad stopped her,
"That's it. I got it. You saved me, I owe you- but we're friends aren't we? So- you could just forget about all these.",Brad gave a sheepish smile.
"I agree- we are friends. But you still owe me a lot so no, I'd rather not forget that. That way, when I would need something then I would know who to turn to.",Ashlynn returned the sheepish smile.
"You're not so easy to convince.",Brad shook his head helplessly, "Are you ready now?"
"I definitely am. Let's go.",Ashlynn responded and they left Ashlynn's house after taking their gift bags with them.
There were a lot of guests. A lot of friends, families. Alexander and Aria were also present including John, Mike, Valerie, Anna, Kenzo and Brandon.
Ace was close with Brandon as he's his only cousin even though he's not Anna and Kenzo's biological son, they never made him feel like he's not one.
Brad and Ashlynn entered the huge mansion where the party is being held.
"Boy- look at that girl, man, she's damn hot.",Brandon whispered to Ace who was leaning against the wall in a corner of the house, and having a look at the guests.
The girls were giving him seductive smiles as well as showing him their body as they walk by.
Brandon was handsome but not as handsome as Ace. Ace has his father's personalily, thinking, strength and handsomeness but got his mother's beauty.
He was beautiful as well as handsome. He's a dream guy- everyone's dream guy.
Brandon was nothing compared to him but still, girls would flirt with him too because he's a black.
Not everyone knows that Brandon is actually adopted. Even Those who knows never made him feel differently.
Ace's eyes fell on Ashlynn. Hearing the word 'hot' coming from his cousin's mouth and that too, when he's referring to Ashlynn made his blood boil.
But he didn't say anything. He just hummed, "seriously? Don't you find her hot? I mean she's literally the hottest girl here! Wait- is she Brand's girlfriend?",Brandon asked confusingly.
Ashlynn was standing beside Brad. They looked like a couple but in reality, they were like siblings.
"Mr Walker! Is that your girlfriend? What is her name? How come we never saw her before?",Of course, reporters,medias and paparazzi were present.
On hearing the word 'girlfriend' Ashlynn was forced to give a rude answer,
"Girlfriend? I'm like his sister for god's sake! Stop assuming things when you don't know a damn- don't you people have better things to do than putting your noses In other people's business?"
The reporters were dumbfounded on hearing her answer. Brad, on the other hand, knowing very well how she is, didn't say anything.
"Mr Walker- Is it true? Is she your sister?",one of the reporters asked Brad who replied nonchalantly,
"I think none of you are deaf-- I'm pretty sure you've heard her answer, correct?"
"We're not planning on staying here so that you can bombard us with your questions.",Ashlynn spoke and made her way through them.
As soon as she did, Ace walked towards her, "I'm glad you came."
"Again,thank you for inviting me.",Ahslynn gave him a smile.
"Hey bro- where's gran?",Brad asked Ace as he shook hands with him.
"I'm right here, my darlings.",Bella responded and made her way towards them.
She gave Brad a big hug and asked, "Well, won't you wish me?"
"Happy Birthday Gran!",Brad wished with a huge smile.
"Thank you!",Bella gave him a kiss on the cheeks. She turned to face Ashlynn and raised an eyebrow at her, "Do I know you?"
"I invited her. She's my friend.",Ace intervened. "Your friend?",Brad asked Ace, with a sudden curiousity before adding, "Last time I checked, she was my friend."
"I'm their friend.",Ashlynn added quickly. Bella nodded, "Welcome to the family, sweetheart. What's your name?"
"Ashlynn."she replied and smiled. Bella smiled back, "Well, let's meet the rest of the family shall we?"
"Okay.",Ashlynn nodded and Bella walked away after asking her to follow her. Ashlynn gave a look to Ace and whispered to him, "Why?"
"Why for what?",Ace questionned back.
"Why do I need to meet everyone?",She asked, giving him a confused face.
"For security, safety. To make sure that you're not a threat and you're okay to be friends with me.",Ace joked.
"Are you serious?",Ashlynn couldn't say whether he was joking or not because his face looked so serious.
"Relax- it's just that they want to meet you.",Ace responded, holding back a laugh at her expressions.
"You-- wait till I come back. I'll teach you to joke with me.",Ashlynn gave him a murderous look before going where Bella is.
Ace, Brad and Brandon also followed her and they stopped where all the family were.
