Guys- just to clear the confusions
Thomas is Russel Robbie's son (the man whom Alexander Killed in. The Book 1 of the Black series 'Alexander Black'.
Ashlynn is the daughter of Chad Rossi, the leader of the Italian Mafia. There is a chapter in the BOOK 1 of the Black Series named After Him. The title of the chapter is Chad Rossi.
If you want to know more about him then just go and read that chapter but if you don't, you won't be confused anyway.
This book can be read as a stand alone (you don't need to read Book 1 to understand) but sure- there are some parts where you might get confused or not. It won't be that confusing but I don't want any of you to be the slightest confused.
But I'd suggest that you read Book 1 (Alexander Black) first then read Book 2 (this) since Ace is Alexander's son.
If you want to read the first one or not, it's up to you ^^
If I'm referring to something that happened in the first book,
Should I write them as Flashbacks to avoid confusion? Do let me know.

"I know what I'm doing." Thomas avoided his men's warning. He didn't know what he was doing at all.
"Yes boss." The man responded. He wanted to quit working for Thomas, he knew that Thomas was signing his death contract.
So he warned him. If Thomas didn't take the warning seriously then it's up to him. Don't say he didn't try-
"I want my parents today itself." Ashlynn spoke, "Right now- precisely."
"You've gotta wait." Thomas smirked, "I cannot guarantee that you'll get them in one piece though."
"If you hurt them, I'll kill you with my own hands, you have my word." Ashlynn said seriously.
"I'll take your leave now, Ms Rossi. See you soon." Thomas said and left instantly with his men trailing behind.
Ashlynn threw herself on the couch as she ran her hands through her hairs and groaned. Just when she was about to close her eyes and calm herself down, her phone started ringing.
"What is it?" She asked as soon as she answered the call. The caller instantly knew that he disturbed her but it was important and he felt like she needed to know.
"Harry here" The caller responded, introducing himself, "I called to let you know that we've tracked Mr and Mrs Rossi and found their current location."
"What are you waiting for? Go get them!" Ashlynn ordered and disconnected the call after Harry replied with a 'Yes Boss.'
Getting her parents back from Thomas was like taking a candy from a baby. Thomas has Zero Experience when it comes to Mafia and all this stuffs.
He only knows how to order and pick fights with the other Mafias. Everyone in the mafia knows him as 'The useless Newbie' including Ace. He knew that someone took over Russell's Empire but he didn't know that Thomas was actually his son.
He also knew that someone took over Chad's Empire, the Italian Mafia and he most definitely knew that, that someone took it to higher heights. But there's one thing that he didn't know,
That the new leader is a woman and that too, not any woman but Ashlynn- the girl he has been intrigued by.
After around one hour, Ashlynn was getting impatient. 'Why was it taking so long? Did something bad happen?'
She kept on walking in circles around the house when the door flew open and around eight men walked in.
Her eyes fell on her parents. They weren't in their best conditions, their skin were pale and bruised.
The two men carrying her parents walked to a nearby couch and placed them carefully on it.
Ashlynn rushed to her parents and tried to wake them up but in vain. She didn't check their pulse as she knew that her parents weren't dead- they couldn't be…
All the men were quiet and Ashlynn found it extremely weird.
"What happened to them? Why aren't they waking up?" She asked confusingly.
"They- we-" one of them tried to speak but couldn't bring himself to utter the words.
"They're dead. We were late." Harry, her best man spoke. His eyes were fixed on the floor and his hands were behind his back.
"You're kidding. They aren't dead. They're just unconscious." Ashlynn said and faked a laugh.
"Mom? Dad? Wake up now…bring me some water guys-" she said to the men who didn't budge from where they were.
"I said, BRING ME SOME WATER!" She ordered again. Harry rushed to her and pulled her for a hug,
"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, Ash. But they are no more- Get a grip on yourself. They won't wake up, not now not- ever. Please…they're in a better place now."
Harry has been the brother she never had. He was the closest to her. Chad and his wife, Julia always treated Harry like a son which made Harry have a brother figure for Ashlynn.
"Twenty four fucking hours! He didn't kill them instantly. He tortured them first then killed them within twenty four hours." Harry concluded.
"Twenty four years…I'll torture him and kill him." Ashlynn made up her mind.
Thomas just started a war he knew he won't win.
Ashlynn stared at her parents one last time…then she broke down. Ashlynn broke down. She hugged Harry tightly and cried her heart out.
Only one word was in her head at that time,
