Chapter 13: The Final Betrayal

Soon, Molly, Razor Claws, and Cat Kid arrived in the city, where they saw Grampa. "Hi, Papa," Cat Kid greeted once he and his pals saw him.

"Where have you been?" Grampa asked. "Those tadpoles are almost done destroying your friends."

"We were making an antidote," Cat Kid said. "It's in this balloon. All we have to do is pop it and those tadpoles will all lose their powers."

"You better go hide in the swamp now, Molly," Razor Claws told Molly. "And stay under  the water so you won't breathe the antidote. That way you won't lose your supa powers."

"Okay, see you later," Molly told Cat Kid and Razor Claws. Before Molly could leave, Grampa wiped the balloon from Cat Kid.

"Hey!" Cat Kid and Razor Claws said once Grampa took the balloon.

"You guys are in big trouble now," Grampa said before calling out. "Oh, Fair Fairy!"

"What do you want now?" The Fair Fairy asked, flying down and floating above them.

"Those three were trying to trick you," Grampa said, pointing at Molly, Cat Kid, and Razor Claws. "They put antidote gas in this balloon. If your tadpoles breathe it, they'll lose all of their superpowers!"

"Antidote gas, eh?" Fair Fairy said as she listened to Grampa.

"Yeah, and the only place that's safe is that swamp over there!" Grampa pointed.

"Is that so?" Fair Fairy asked.

"Yep," Grampa answered, standing noble.

"Well, that gives me a splendid idea," Fair Fairy said evilly before flying over to the tadpoles. "Ok, tadpoles, listen up,! I want you all to hide in that swamp over there. Stay underwater, and don't breathe the air for a few minutes."

"Ok, Mommy!"

"See you later!"

"Bye, Mom!"

Fair Fairy watched as the tadpoles zipped off, heading the swamp. "Now I'm going to deal with you," Fair Fairy turned and grabbed Molly. "You couldn't follow orders, could you? You just had to do your own thing. Well you're in big trouble now, little girl!"

"What are you grinnin' about?!" Fair Fairy noticed that Molly had a big smile on her face, despite the trouble she seemed to be in.

Meanwhile, the twenty-one tadpoles headed to the swamp and dived in. When all of them were in the pond, Zuzu revealed herself, hiding behind some tall grass.

She removed the lid of the tube and poured the antidote into the pond.  The pond began to turn blue and the tadpoles were being affected underneath.

Meanwhile, Fair Fairy was dealing with Molly. "You'd better wipe that smile off your face, young lady, because things are about to get serious," Fair Fairy told Molly sternly. "He's gonna pop that balloon and...and.."

Fair Fairy couldn't finish when she felt something strange. She couldn't keep herself in the air. She fell, landing on Grampa.

"What happened?" She asked. Grampa still held on to the balloon he swiped from Cat Kid and Razor Claws.

"Look!" Grampa said, pointing at Barky McTreeFace. Barky dropped Bark Knight, Lightning Dude, Flippy, Chief, Sarah, and Hissful Wonder. Then he turned back into a normal tree.

"That's not fair!" Fair Fairy exclaimed upon seeing Barky's state. "That antidote ruined everything!"

"Wait a minute," Grampa said, looking at the balloon and turning to Cat Kid and Razor Claws. "There's no antidote in this balloon, is there?"

"Nope," Cat Kid and Razor Claws both answered.

"You lied to me! You betrayed me!" Grampa said angrily.

"I guess we did," Razor Claws said before she and Cat Kid then said together, "Grampa!"

"Zuzu's the real hero today," Molly said as Zuzu ran by, running to Sarah and licking her as she picked her up. "She poured the antidote into the swamp and saved the world."

"Hooray for Zuzu!" Everyone cheered as Grampa whispered something in Fair Fairy's ear.

"Let get out of here while we've got a chance," Grampa whispered.

"I'm with you," Fair Fairy said, running with Grampa away from the heroes. Grampa and Fair Fairy ran until they came across Coco's Cupcakes shop.

"I can't walk much farther," Fair Fairy complained.

"It's okay, I think we got away," Grampa said, stopping to take a breath.

"Really?" Fair Fairy asked as she took a seat in the grass.

"Yeah, they're all still back there congratulating themselves," Grampa said.

"Wow, we got lucky," Fair Fairy said.

"I know, " Grampa said, turning to face her. "We got away with no comeuppance whatsoever."

"We're the luckiest villains ever!" Grampa and Fair Fairy both said happily. Unknown to them, Commander Cupcake had climbed all the way up the cupcake sign. He was licking it, unaware that it was tipping over. The cupcake fell off and crashed onto Grampa and Fair Fairy.

Milly and a police officer came running to them. "Hey, look," the police officer said. "Commander Cupcake did it again!"

"He captured the Fair Fairy and Grampa," Millie added.

"You two criminals are going to jail!" The police officer said to Petey, believing he was Grampa, and Fair Fairy. This worried Petey.

"Not so fast!" Lightning Dude, Bark Knight, Cat Kid, Razor Claws, and Hissful Wonder appeared just in time to stop the two officers from taking the real Petey to prison.

"This isn't Grampa," Cat Kid said as the officers looked at Petey. "This is my Papa!"

"But he looks just like Grampa," the police officer said.

"It was just a silly ruse done by the real Grampa," Razor Claws pointed out. "We know a disguise when we see it."

"My granddaughter is right, this is her future husband," Hissful Wonder added and turned to Lightning Dude. "Show them, sonny."

Lightning Dude flew to Commander Cupcake and grabbed Petey, and removed him from his hand. He removed the lid from Petey's tail and opened up, pulling out a water hose, a hair dryer, and a bucket of soapy water.

"No, wait!" Petey cried. Lightning Dude ignored him as he sprayed the hose in Petey's face, washing the dots that were made by Grampa's marker away, and used a brush dipped in soapy water to brush him, and then used the hair dryer to dry him off.

To do the final touch, Lightning Dude removed the whisker that Grampa glued onto Petey's face. "See?" Hissful Wonder said as Lightning Dude dropped Petey in front of her, Razor Claws, Cat Kid, Millie and the police officer.

"Okay, I'm convinced," the police officer said.

"Works for me," Millie added. She and the police officer grabbed Grampa and Fair Fairy and put handcuffs on them, walking them to two special prisons. "Let's go, Grampa!"

"It's not fair!" Fair Fairy said.
