Third-person pov

After the six left the church, they walked through town, showing Jungkook all of the stores and old historic buildings, enlightening him as they approached their notorious lunch spot. As they walked further down the street, a small group of four boys approached the boys, with smirks that shook some of them to the core.

"Well, if it isn't the local fags," a tall red-haired boy spoke, chuckling to his mates beside him. Namjoon, Yoongi and Hobi rolled their eyes, making contact with the group. "Nice to see you too jack," Hobi answered. "Wasn't talking to you, I was talking to the twink behind you," He said, gesturing to Jin, who was mentally slapping the boy in his mind. "Still fucking the same whore jack? or did she get tired of you too?" Yoongi fired back, a smirk playing on his lips.

"At least I get hoes, never seen a bitch hanging around your neck Min. Unless you're the bitch," he snarled suggestively, eyebrow raised. Yoongi rolled his eyes. "Just fuck off will you, stop ruining my mood. I don't have the energy to deal with your bullshit remarks today Lee," Yoongi answered tiredly. Jack was about to retort except one of the boys beside him gently slapped his shoulder and whispered in his ear. "Well, there is a new kid," he then turned his gaze towards Jungkook. "Why the fuck are you hanging around these fags? Come with us, I can tell the girls already like the sights of you," he said somewhat nicely.

"No thanks dickhead, I don't hang around with manwhores like yourself, do me a favour and go stick your dick in another bitch, I can see the sexual frustration oozing off you. And tell those 'girls' that I'm not interested." Jungkook answered boredly, yet fiercely as a way of freeing himself and his friends from the jackass in front of them. "Why? You a faggot too? rather a dick up your ass?" He asked with a smirk, causing Jungkook's confident facade to slightly melt.

Jungkook pov

What he said really hit me hard, considering I am gay, but my friends don't know yet. I only came to terms with it a year ago, and god was I happy that my parents were fully accepting and happy for me. I sucked in a quick breath, hopefully not portraying to everyone that what he said was slightly true.

"Nah, but you sure act like there's a stick up yours," I answered confidently, chuckling after hearing my friends laughing at my remark. He snarled, "Fuck off dickhead," he retorted. "Gladly," I answered gesturing my friends to walk past them. "Keep walking twink, you're nothing but a scared little boy who likes guys but is too much of a pussy to admit it!" Jack yelled. "Come on guys," he said, tugging on one of his mates' shirts, "Let's go Minji" he growled darkly, storming off.

They left me feeling numb, how the fuck did he know?! But it is true, I am such a weak kid, here I am telling my friends to be themselves yet  I am lying about who I am in front of them. Pathetic. I could feel their stares on me, questioning as to why I had tears begging to develop in my eye sockets. I chose to ignore their confused faces and sucked in a breath, "L-let's just go." I spoke with shoulder's slumped. They began walking, leading me towards the small corner cafe that was painted a pastel blue. The sight was slightly able to ease my mind, yet when we walked in I saw that same angel that graced me with his presence at the church. The Kim Taehyung worked here.

Namjoon pov

I could tell that Jack's usual tasteless remarks had their way of worming through Jungkook's brain, I couldn't help but feel that what he said was true? I had noticed the way he was looking at Taehyung at church but I chose to ignore it. I will let him tell us when he's ready, and if he has anything to say truthfully.

As the six opened the glass door, the welcoming atmosphere of the little cafe easily drew them in, the distant sound of music playing and the soothing smell of freshly baked pastries and freshly ground coffee soothing their minds for the time being.

They walked in and took a booth table, three on each side. As they picked up the cutely embellished menus, a small timid-looking boy came from behind the counter walking towards the newly-entered customers. "Hey, how can I-" He asked as his eyes widened when he made eye contact with Jungkook. "H-Help you?" He stuttered, eyes unable to unlock themselves from his soft gaze. "Tae, Tae? Taehyung! TAEHYUNG!" Jimin shouted loudly, making the boy quickly jump and shift his attention to the rest of the group, a bright red settling on his cheeks. "S-sorry Jiminie, w-what can I get you?" He asked sheepishly.

"Umm, usual iced mocha, skim, extra whipped cream and hazelnut syrup please!" Jimin answered, as Taehyung wrote down the order onto his little notepad, quickly pencilling it down. "I'll have a Cap, full cream, half-strength, extra foam please," Jin asked casually. "What about you Namjoon-ssi?" Taehyung asked after he finished writing down Jin's order. "Um, a latte, oat milk, vanilla syrup, please Taehyung-ah." He answered nicely. "I'll take an iced americano-" "Yeah same here!" Yoongi and Hobi asked in unison, earning a chuckle from the others. "Okay coming right up!" Taehyung said as he was about to walk away until he realised that there was another guest with them, "A-ah sorry! W-What can I get you Jungkook-ssi?" He muttered shyly.

"Jungkook is fine Taehyung," He said with a smile. "Can I get an iced latte, full cream, with caramel syrup please?" He asked nicely. Taehyung quickly wrote it down and nodded cutely. "I-it'll be out in a sec!" And with that, he blushed and quickly ran away to began putting on the shots of coffee and grabbing the ice bases. Meanwhile, the other's looked at Jungkook and his small glances towards Tae. "Jungkook?" Namjoon asked, the said boy jumped in his seat to then turn to the boy across from him.

"Are you okay? You've been awfully quiet since we got here?" He asked concerned. "Y-yeah, I-I'm fine," he said with a little glimpse of a smile. "Thanks, Kook, for sticking up for us. We are sorry he called you those things, we know that you aren't." Yoongi and Jin chimed in with thankful gazes. "Y-yeah, right," he said unsurely, mindlessly playing with his fingers. The others looked at each other, talking through their eyes - mainly using animated head nods and pointed eyes to enunciate with each other. "You sure you are okay? You can tell us, anything Kook?" Yoongi asked cautiously. "I-I-" Before Jungkook could say anything he saw Taehyung walking back with a tray of their coffees.

"Ice mocha," Taehyung said as he handed Jimin his drink. "One cap, one latte, two ice americanos a-and and i-iced l-latte," Taehyung recited as he handed the others their drinks, his hands slightly shaking when he placed Jungkook's drink in front of him, their fingers brushing for a moment as Jungkook reached for it from Taehyung hands, "U-umm, thanks." He said quietly, before taking an elongated sip through the plastic straw. Before Taehyung could walk away Jungkook noticed the red bruising around Taehyung's upper arm, slowly starting to fume thinking about how he got it.

"What happened to your arm Taehyung?" He asked, now staring up at the said boy. Taehyung gulped, "B-bumped it." Jimin just shook his head, eyeing the boy, "Your father did it again, didn't he," he stated. Taehyung gently nodded his head, "Oh, Tae. You need to tell him to stop!" He asked as he gently caressed his bruises. He quickly shook his head, ushering himself out of Jimin's embrace "N-No, I-I went against him. Went against God. S-sinned. I deserved it." He uttered quickly, shaking head at them, eyes wide.

"No! Just because you hang out with us and defend us means that you sinned Taehyung! You are a good and such a pure person. What he is doing is sinful," Jin pitched in. "B-but-" "Taehyung" A loud voice boomed, making the poor boy begin to shake. "Come here," he said sternly. "And you!" he said, pointing his thin finger at Jin, "Don't go messing with my son's mind! He sinned! He deserved to be punished to know what he did is wrong!" He said in a deep tone, telling Jin to back off. Jin Looked down, defeatedly, "Taehyung, go to the church and repent! Recite the rosary, now!" He yelled at his son. "B-but I am working Father!" He shrieked scaredly.

He looked at him with red eyes, "After your shift, go." He boomed.

"Y-yes, papa." He said as he bowed and walked behind the counter into the backroom, muffling his cries as he pulled a fresh batch of apple danishes out of the oven.
