Third-person pov

To say Jungkook was surprised would be an understatement. If anything, he thought it would be him to initiate their first kiss, let alone say the 'L' word first. Taehyung just kept surprising him, all for the best of course. He just looked at the blushing boy with evergrowing love.

"I love you, Taehyung. I think I have for a while now," he confessed truthfully. Seeing the boy begin to smile, realising how his feelings were being reciprocated. "Yeah?" He asked unsurely. "Yes, I am so in love with you baby," Jungkook whispered gently, his hands coming to hold Taehyungs cheeks as he rested his head against his. They both didn't even try to hide their smiles, internally grateful for being brave enough to admit the truth.

Jungkook looked in Taehyung's eyes, and audibly gasped fondly. "What?" Taehyung asked, slightly afraid. "Your eyes," he whispered. Taehyung looked at him confused, "It's as if I'm star-gazing. God, they are so beautiful, you are so beautiful." He said happily, pulling the boy into a hug. "Thank you for loving me," Jungkook spoke, his chest heaving as he began crying happily. "I promise, I'll treat you right, I won't wrong you and if I do I'll fix it. Please let me love you Tae," Jungkook whispered.

"You, y-you are all I want Kook," Taehyugn whispered as he slowly pressed his lips against Jungkook's. "Be mine, be my boyfriend," Taehyung whispered, questioning where all of this courage and bravery was coming from. Jungkook just pulled him closer, "I will love you until my lungs give out, I will love you even if you change your mind." Jungkook sobbed, pulling Taehyung even closer.

They stayed in that heartwarming hug for a few minutes, absorbing the subtle heat that was burning their hearts - it wasn't a painful burn, it was a passionate burn. The two pulled back, Jungkook pressed a quick peck on his lover's lips before he put the car in drive, making their way back home. Their home. Together.

Everyone was getting nervous considering Jungkook was supposed to be home well over 20 minutes ago. What the hell was taking so long? Just as Jin was about to ask Yoongi to call Jungkook, the door opened with a little click. Jungkook ushering a slightly hobbling Taehyung.

"Finally!" "What the hell took you guys so long!" They all screeched, standing up to hug the two, missing Taehyung's presence after being away from him for a week. "Just had trouble walking," Taehyung lied, biting back his happy smiles. Hobi helped Taehyung sit down, only now noticing the boy's blushing cheeks. "Mmhm, trouble walking, sure," he grumbled rolling his eyes.

It was midday now, so Jin opted for them to go down to the little cafe Taehyung worked at, although the boy wasn't so fond. "I shouldn't, my father-" the other looked at each other, smiling happily. "He's gone Tae," Namjoon spoke gently, Taehyung was just confused. "What? Where did he go?" That's when they all looked at Jungkook, everyone opting for him to tell Taehyung.

"He's in jail baby, the police found out what he did and he's been put on trial, and we won Tae. We won," Jungkook whispered, as he gently caressed Taehyung's face. "You're free," he finished, waiting for Taehyung's reaction to the news. "H-he's gone?" Taehyung whispered, the others nodded. "I-I'm free," he said with a whimper. All of his worries, his pain and the causes of all of his issues; It's finally over? "It's finally over baby," Jungkook whispered. Taehyung sobbed in happiness, "Was this why you were all so busy last week?" The others nodded happily.

"Let's go to the cafe!" Taehyung yelled happily, giggling and dancing around, holding Jungkook's hand as he looked at the others delighted. They all cooed at him, finally happy to know that their friend's pain will finally get a chance to heal. Taehyung was impatient as he pulled the others down the street, not before bumping into Jackson and Minji. Taehyung was slightly panicked, "Jacks?" He muttered brokenly.

"Taehyung," he said with a broken smile. "He's gone Jackie, h-he's gone!" Taehyung said as he ran to hug the male. "I'm glad you are free now, you've got some ballsy friends bear," he whispered, looking at the others. "Thank you for saving him, for doing what I couldn't," he said, looking at the boy ashamed. "Can we be friends again Jackie?" Taehyung said, hope laced in his voice. Jackson smiled at that. "Of course, but I best get going, I'm uh- I'm meeting my boyfriend's parents," he said gleefully.

"Don't wanna be late hmm?" Minji muttered suggestively, earning a blissed smile from Jackson. He just shook his head as he let go of Taehyung, "We'll see you guys around," Jackson said beginning to walk away,  only to stop and turn to face Jungkook. "And, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all the shit I put you guys through. Especially you Jungkook, hopefully you all can forgive me one day," Jackson said with a small smile, waving as he walked away.

The others waved goodbye, and said nothing. They knew that Jack meant his apology, but he was truly awful. Hell, he was the one that outed Jin and Namjoon, although the boys had forgiven him long ago. They made it to the cafe, sitting in their respectful pairs (or threes). As they ordered their food, they all caught up with each other and talked to Tae about what he had missed. Especially the part where Namjoon was offered a spot as the town's new mayor, and how Jin had recently bought the very cafe they were sat in.

"Really! That's so cool!" Taehyung giggled happily. "There will be a lot of changes around here, hopefully, it will teach people to be more open-minded and inclusive, religion will still be active, but it will be a diverse town." Namjoon spoke, with big hopes for the future. They had all bought food, Jungkook helped cut Taehyung's stake for him, as his fingers were still too weak to properly grip the knife and fork. He was fed by the boy too, much to his dismay - despite that he actually loved it.

"Well, we filled you in on us, what about you guys huh? Don't think we didn't notice how lovey-dovey you two are, anything to say?" Yoongi smirked. "Well, not that it concerns you Hyung," Jungkook said as he earned a few chuckles. "We are boyfriends now," Jungkook confessed happily, lacing his hand in Taehyung's, squeezing slightly. The others cooed at the new couple, happy to see how alive the two seem. "I'm glad, you both are beaming," Jimin said happily, a large smile stretched across his plump lips.

"I'm excited to see what comes next," Taehyung whispered, looking at his family. There was so much in store for them, and it only made them more sleepless for when the future comes.
