46. Sebastian's POV

Adrian is getting engaged today and I am very happy for my best friend. He deserves a girl like Jane and I wish for their happy future. Grace is getting ready for the engagement. As I already got ready I took my laptop and started working on my new project. I was so engrossed in my work when I heard Grace's voice.

"You are so workaholic Sebestian". I looked up from my laptop and my eyes went wide. Infront of  me stood Grace. She is looking so damn stunning I can't even blink.

"Earth to Sebestian". Grace snapped her fingers infront of my face.

"You look so mesmerising baby". I took her hand kissed it softly making her blush.

"You look good as well". She said shyly.

"Just good"? I raised my eyebrow at her.

"No you are looking very handsome. Now can we go because Jane has called me for like 20 times". She replied changing the subject.

"Sure babe". I chuckled at her cuteness and we went out.

We reached the venue after 35 minutes. I placed my palm on Grace's back as we entered the hall.

"It's so beautiful Seb"! Grace muttered beside me looking at the beautiful decorations. I felt sad thinking that she didn't got the chance to experience such an event. Our engagement was so simple. It was held at my house with just our family members.

"Why are you frowning"? Grace asked.

"I remembered our engagement day". I said.

"So what is there to frown"? She asked.

"By seeing this I realised that you didn't got the chance to live this moment. Our engagement was just like an arrangement for both of us. I feel very bad about it". I said.

"Sebestian don't feel bad for the past. We can't change how it all happened but in the end its the best thing that has happened to us". She smiled at me.

"I love you". I smiled back.

"I love you too". She laughed.

"Are you guys going to stand there"? Rebecca yelled gaining our attention. As I turned around I saw all my family members including Adrian's and Jane's parents are standing in the centre.

"Hello everyone". Grace smiled at them.

"Hi everyone". I said.

"Where is Adrian and Jane"? Grace asked looking around.

"They went to greet the other guest". Mom replied.

"Oh". Grace said

"You guys are fifteen minutes late". Jane said as she came in our direction along with Adrian.

"You are looking so beautiful girl". Grace hugged her.

"Congratulations man"! I gave a side hug to Adrian and then wished Jane.

"Why are you late"? Tristan asked.

"Your brother was working". Grace said.

"Seriously Sebestian you can't put your work aside on your best friends engagement"? Adrian asked looking offended.

"We are not late because of me. We are late because she took time to get ready and in that time instead of sitting idle I worked". I said.

"So basically it's Grace fault". Jane said.

"Yes". I agreed.

"It's not a big deal Jane. We are just fifteen minutes late". Grace said.

"Let's enjoy the party now"! Tristan said making us laugh. 

"I don't want to leave you for a single second". I whispered to Grace as we both went to meet my business friends.

"And why is that"? She whispered.

"Firstly I like spending time with you and secondly I don't want those men to flirt with my beautiful wife". I replied.

"Come on Sebestian. No one is going to flirt with me". She giggled.

"Trust me darling you don't even know how many of them wish to have you by their side". I said.

"But I want to be by your side". She said making me smile.

"Always". I said.

"Always". She replied.

"Let's dance". I said pulling her on the dance floor. I placed my hands on her waist and pulled her closer to me. She wrapped her arms around my neck and we started dancing slowly to the sound of the music. While dancing I got lost in her blue eyes. The sorrow once she carried in her beautiful eyes is not there now. Her eyes are smiling indicating how truly she feels. I am just glad that I am the one behind all this shine on her face. I was busy in admiring my wife when I felt someone tapping on my shoulder. I turned around and got shocked.

"Surprise"! She shouted and jumped in my arms.

"It's Shock Maria". I said as I hugged her back.

Maria took my hand and dragged me towards Adrian who is standing in the middle of the hall. Grace followed us.

"Adri you were right. Seb got shocked". Maria laughed.

"I told you". He laughed along with her.

"Wait. When did you came back? And you knew that she is coming"? I asked.

"I don't know anything. I bumped into her in a mall two days ago and invited her to my engagement". Adrian said.

"So when did you came back"? I asked.

"One week ago and fortunately I met Adri". She replied.

"It's been such a long time". I said.

"Yeah. Maybe six years". Adrian said.

"Yes and I missed you guys a lot". Maria said sadly.

"Adrian who is she"? Jane asked.

"Oh sorry I forget. She is our friend Maria. She was with us in high school and starting years of college then she moved to another country". Adrian said.

"Hello I am Jane. Adrian's fiance. Nice to meet you". She said.

"Nice to meet you too". Maria said.

"And Maria meet my wife Grace". I said as I placed my hand on Grace's back.

"What? I can't believe my ears. Did he said wife"? She asked dramatically to Adrian who nodded in response.

"Hi". Grace said.

"Hello nice to meet you Grace". Maria said.

"Likewise". Grace said.

Rest of the night went well. Adrian and Jane exchanged their rings. We congratulated them and then went back to our home.

"Grace why are you so quite"? I asked as we entered our bedroom.

"Nothing". She muttered.

"It is something. You know you can talk to me about everything". I said.

"It's Maria". She whispered.

"What about her"? I asked.

"I felt very jealous of her. She is so beautiful and you guys were so happy with each other". She said.

"Grace you are the most beautiful girl to me and Maria and I are just friends". I said as I pulled her in a hug.

"I know. I just got insecure because I am still very scared Sebestian". She said hugging me tightly.

"Scared"? I asked.

"To being in love again". She said.

"Don't worry sweetheart. You are my first and last love". I said. She broke the hug and stared in my eyes then she surprised me by kissing me on the lips.

"I want you Sebestian". She whispered.

"Are you sure"? I asked and she nodded in response. I picked her up in bridal style and took her to the bed. Soon we both got lost in passionate making love for the rest of night.
