Lyra's POV
I sat next to Pema and smiled as she held her son.
"He has your hair." I whispered.
"Yes, but Fili's eyes and nose." She giggled.
"What'll you name him?" Tilda smiled.
"Vili, I want to name him Vili."

I looked towards the door and saw Sigrid watching as Bain set the table for some supper. Then there was creaking.
"Da? Is that you da?" Sigrid called, but then I heard a growl and got up, grabbing a dagger from my bag. Sigrid screamed and tried to close the door, an orc invading. She was pushed away and he looked towards me. I pushed Tilda to Sigrid and got in front of them, slashing the orc's neck, it dropped dead.

Then Legolas and Tauriel barged in, killing more orc's as they multiplied. Pema gasped as an orc came onto the bed, so I threw my dagger at its head and it fell back, but something came in contact with my side, making me cry out.

"Lyra!" Pema cried.

Everything went black.

Pema's POV
I watched in horror as Lyra fell, I gripped Vili tighter.
"Are you alright?" Legolas asked, so I nodded. Then he walked to the door.
"Tolo, Tauriel." He demanded, but Tauriel leaned over Lyra to check her wound. He looked at Ly, then her.

"We must go." He rushed out the door.

"Lyra..." Sigrid whispered as black blood seeped out of her side, then Bofur rushed in. He held kingsfoil.
"Lyra!" He gasped then looked to me and Vili.
"Pema?"
"Hehe...hi..." I whispered awkwardly.

Tauriel looked up and and saw the Kingsfoil.
"Aethelas." She grabbed it.
"What're ya doin'?"
"I'm going to save her."

Tauriel chanted some things while sticking the Kingsfoil into her wound, making Lyra whimper, but Bofur held her hand. Lyra breathing labored then calmed as Tauriel finished. {a/n: I'm gonna use tauriel's healing incantation for later on but Lyra is going to say it to Kili, you just gotta wait.}

"If only Oin could see this." I heard Bofur mutter.

I smiled and lulled Vili to sleep.

Lyra's POV
I woke to find Tauriel wrapping my waist.
"Tauriel.."
"Rest, Lyra."
"He loved you."
"What?"

"Begoliath," I smiled at the thought of my brother,"Before Begoliath died he would write to me whilst in Rivendell. When you visited with Legolas he would describe how he felt and would say how beautiful you looked at least five times in each letter." I could see a smile spread upon her her face.
"Then, when the Greenwood got sick and you could no longer visit he was saddened...I don't think he could love anyone as much as he did you." I paused as I felt tired.

"Do you think he still cared about me also?" Then I fell asleep.

I was woken by Tilda."Lyra, the dragon. He is coming." She whimpered, so I got up and got her ready.

"We must leave."
"We're not leaving, not without our father."
"If you stay here your sisters will die, would your father want that?" Tauriel said sternly, then we heard something like a hurricane.
"He's approaching, hurry."

I helped Pema to the boat and then got on myself. Bofur paddled. We kept going and saw the dragon fly right above us. Tilda gasped and leaned into me as I comforted her with an embrace. Tauriel stopped us under a house as he past by again. Then we continued.

Soon, the dragon caused an inferno on a fourth of the town. We paddled quickly until a large boat bumped into us. We saw guards rowing a boat full of gold as the master ordered them to go faster. We then got passed them and a bit near the fire.

"Da!" Bain leaned to the direction of the bell tower.
Tilda gasped,"Da!" She cried, which cause a memory to stir.

I was with da as we were to go fishing. Then orcs intruded.
"Go, Lyra! Get outta here!" He exclaimed, fighting off the orcs. I was lifted onto a horse and saw my brother. I looked back and cried.

"Da!"

I snapped back to reality as I saw Bain swing off the boat.
"What're you doing?!" Bofur cried, but Bain ran.
"Leave him, we cannot go back!" Tauriel warned.
"Bain!" Tilda cried.

Pema's POV
I sat next to Sigrid as we paddled. Open water was ahead! Dawn was coming in minutes and as I looked behind, I saw Bard shoot his last arrow. I gave a sharp breath. Then looked to see land. I sighed and smiled.

People cried, screamed, and rushed to get supplies to everyone and save the food.

"Da!" Sigrid and Tilda cried.
"Da!..."

I saw Lyra talk with Tauriel. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see Bofur with a smile.
"Can I see the babe?"
"Of course, Bofur." I smiled and let him view Vili.
"It's a tiny Fili with red hair!" He laughed, then Lyra called us, pushing a boat off shore.
"C'mon! We gotta get to the mountain."
"Right behind you." We then got in and rowed to Erebor.

When we got to shore we walked up to the mountain. Vili cooed and looked up to me with Fili's eyes.
"Hello my little lion cub, wait till your father sees you." I smiled, soon coming up to a crushed entrance. We rushed in and Bofur called out for the others.

"Anyone here?! Bifur? Bombur?"
I looked to Lyra, who looked anxious, which was never a good sign.
"Do you hear anything?"
"N-No...not yet..."
We started running to the treasure room until I heard a voice.
"Stop! Stop!"
"Papa!!" Lyra exclaimed happily. But he came to us with a panicked face.
"You need to leave. We all need to leave."
"We only just got here." Bofur claimed.
"He is not hisself he's acting strange...He-he-"
"He who?"
"Thorin! Thorin...a sickness lies on this treasure and has corrupted his mind."
He kept going, but Lyra looked above his shoulder, then got closer.
"Lyra! Ly-"
"Gold, beyond grief..." Thorin walked in grand robes through the gold.
"Welcome, ladies of the company, to the great kingdom...Erebor."

His words came out as if sickening poison dripped off it. Vili whimpered making Thorin look. I held my son closer and Lyra and Bofur stepped in front of me protectively. We then went to find the others in the dining hall, but I stopped.

"Pema?" Lyra looked to me.
"What will Fili say? Will he be alright with this?"
"He loves you and he will love Vili. Stay here and I'll get him."
"Thank you..." I whispered and sat down on a small ledge. There were cheers and greetings, then footsteps rounded the corner. I looked up from Vili to find Fili looking at me with a unbelievable look. He looked anxious and excited at the same time.

A smile played at my lips and I looked to Vili.
"Would you like to meet him?" All I got was a nods as he walked towards. He stopped and looked at Vili. He sighed in amazement.
"Is he really ours?"
"Yes. Of course." I giggled, then Vili sneezed.
"What is his name?"
"Vili."
"Vili," he carried him,"Welcome, Vili...my son." He grinned.
