Lyra's POV
Dwalin and I rode to Laernian. We were very silent. We arrived to the gates, And I saw my new general, Rydella. She smiled and instructed the others to open the gates. I smiled and we rode to my shelter. I rounded up my best warriors, especially Dwalin, in the meeting room.

"How many orcs?" I looked to Rydella.
"At least three dozen orcs."
I nodded, then looked to Dwalin."Any suggestions on how to take them?"

"Well..." He looked at the map,"Since they're by Rhohirrim lands, King Thengal might send out some of his riders to patrol. We should go through the Wold borders and attack from the side."

"They could see us! I say we go through the Misty Mountains near Isengard and wait." Rydella said.
"And then what? Let a scout find us and blow our cover? I say our attack should be abrupt. More action!"
"Well we need to be strategic as well-"
"The last time I was strategic, the king lost his head. You don't want your queen to-"

"Dwalin..." I placed a hand on his shoulder."Let's take a break, we'll discuss this at sundown, after dinner."
"Get some rest, tári." One soldier, Carlisle, suggested.
"I will, Carlisle. Dwalin, would you like me to lead you to your chambers?"
"No, I'll ask someone el-"
"I can do it, my queen." Rydella interrupted, standing in front of him.

I could see Dwalin glare at the back of her head, but I nodded,"Thank you, Rydella." I looked to Dwalin. He sighed and nodded. I then left.

Rydella's POV
"Shall we go to your chambers now, Master Dwarf?"
"You're very full of yerself, aren't you missy?"
"I try." I lead him to his room."Queen Lyra said keep a good eye on you."
"Yes?"
"Yes."

I smiled to him as he stepped into his room,"Have a good evening, my lord."
"To you too, Rydella." He sneered before slamming the door in my face. I laughed and walked away, going to Lyra's chambers.

Lyra's POV
I wrote hastily to Kili, asking about Aewilyn.
"My queen, please...you must rest." Rydella's voice came from the doorway. I kept writing, but Rydella took the ink.
"Ry-"
"No! I'm not giving it back. Not until you get some rest."
I sighed and planted my face in my hands, crying.

"I just want her back." I sobbed. Rydella caressed my hair.
"I know...but you are being so brave," She whispered."And I know you are one I could call Queen because of that."
