Pema's POV
Everything was blurry at first, then clear. I looked down at myself, then up as Fili kneeled in front of me.
"I'm so sorry, Fili. I-I-" Fili broke down and hugged me.
"It doesn't matter. She saved you." He sobbed violently, not in happiness, but sadness.
"No..." I got up and looked at Lyra, who laid in Kili's arms."Nonononono..." Kili let me look at her.
"No, please...please..." I whimpered."Please...please..." I gripped her arm tightly. Fili shushed me and wrapped his arms around me.

"LYRA!"

She was gone...

3rd Person POV
Bilbo ran in. Seeing why all the commotion was happening. He saw Lyra's hand laying limply against Kili's arm. He took in a sharp breath and ran towards the bed, but Thorin got behind him and held him back. He thrashed around in Thorin's arms, screaming his daughter's name.

Begoliath entered and fell to his knees, Tauriel hugging him. Legolas stood grimily at the threshold. Frerin leaned against the wall, taking in his "failure". Dúath stood away from the scene. And Laeriel...she tried to touch her son, but he flinched away.

"Why?" Begoliath turned to her."Why do you have to hurt her?"

"I-" She was speechless...what could she say? She just killed her daughter.
"I can help her." She blurted.

"You really think you can help her through half the things you caused?" Pema whispered.
"Yes...but I'll need everyone out, except you Dúath. I need your help."
"Ha! No-"

"Papa..." Pema muttered,"Please."

The older shadow creature sighed,"Alright." He kissed Pema's head,"Just because you implored, now away with you." He whispered as everyone exited the room.

~later~

Everyone waited outside. Kili paced, Pema and Fili held Vili, Bilbo was comforted by Thorin, Frerin and Begoliath talked, and Tauriel and Legolas made small conversation.

Then Dúath and Laeriel came out.
"It is done. She is asleep, but you may see her." Laeriel announced. They gathered around the bed and watched her sleep. Pema laid her head against the bed, keeping an eye on her. Lyra's breathing was light and steady.

Then...

Lyra's POV
My eyes snapped open and I gasped for air. Everyone around me sighed in relief.
"What happened?"
"You joined the stars for a little bit, nightlight." Pema smiled and hugged me, crying."I love you too."

I caressed her hair, then saw my mother standing near.
"Naneth."
"Adertha." She bowed her head.
"Why?"
"I will give no reason, now...but," She bent and whispered,"I hope I'm given a grandchild soon, love."

My breath hitched softly, but then Kili turned my head and kissed me.
"I thought I lost you."
"Luckily you didn't." I smiled. Then papa came and squeezed me. A tear escaped my eyes and I caressed his hair.

~the next week~
It was time to say farewell to our guests. It was time to say goodbye to papa...
I took a deep breath and went to bid them ado. Tauriel and Begoliath got a horse ready, Legolas was going north to find a ranger named Strider, my people were going back to Laernian, Dúath left last week, mother was going to be...mother...and disappear, and papa...he was leaving with Gandalf and Beorn. I went to my brother first.

"Begoliath..." I spoke. He smiled and caressed my cheek.
"I'll be close by, little sister...if you need me...I'll be there..." He smiled and kissed my head,"Estellio melleth nin..."
"Estellio melleth nin." I smiled, a tiny tear escaping my eye.

"Lyra," Tauriel smiled,"Hannon le..."
"Anything for you and my brother." I bowed my head and walked over to Legolas.
"Prince Greenleaf." I smirked as he stood there. He let out a chuckle and placed a hand on my hair.
"My lady Adertha, what words of wisdom shall be blessed unto me?"
"After you go north, go to Rivendell. The Northstar is expecting you."
"Tristan..." He mumbled, taking my hand."I shall go...Mirkwood is no place for me at the moment, I will see you on your wedding day, Adertha."
"If I invite your father...will you still come?"
"Yes, but I highly doubt King Thorin will let him in Erebor."
"Namaarie..."

I smiled and walked to Beorn.
"Lyra..."
"Beorn."
"Thank you, Adertha...you have reunited me with my kin." He looked behind him, a fox skin changer stood, waiting for him."I am forever grateful." He bowed his head, as did I.

I had spoken to Gandalf beforehand, so I went to my father.
"Papa..." I smiled sadly.
"Look at you," He smiled,"All grown up."
I let out a sob and embraced him."Don't leave me..." I wept into his cape he was given by the dwarves.
"Sh...Sh...don't cry, Lyra...I swear I will always be with you. I'm just going back home to keep Bag End safe."
"From the Sackville-Bagginses." I laughed through my tears, but it didn't really work. My arms were still secure around him.
"I love you so much Mr. Baggins..." I whispered. Mr. Baggins...the first thing I called him when we first met.
"And I you...silly, little rascal..." He kissed my forehead, then looked up at the dwarves and Pema.
"Thank you, so much...for giving us an adventure of a lifetime. If you ever pass by Bag End...tea is at 4..." He breathed,"And...don't bother knocking."
Thorin went up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder,"If everyone treasured food and home...above gold, this world would be a merrier place."
Papa nodded and kissed my forehead once more,"I'll write to you..."
"Alright. You'll be the first to get an invite to our weddings." I whispered. Then Kili came from behind me.
"Take care of her...you too Fili, take care of Pema."
"Will do, Master Boggins." Kili smiled, making us laugh. Then Pema hugged him before he tuned to Gandalf and Beorn, and got on their ponies, trotting off.

Kili faced me to him."He'll come back, I swear."
"I know." I whispered, nodding. Kili smiled and placed his forehead against mine.
How are you not barren anymore? I'm asking this in a good way.

~flashback~
I stood in the same room as mother and looked at her.
"Why? Why did you break the curse?"
"Because..." She hesitated, but sighed,"You are my queen, Adertha." She kneeled.
"Rise, I know there's something else."
"I was wrong about everything. I do love your brother more, but I still have love for you. I went to far with the curse and the ears. I can heal those, if-"
"No...I want to keep these...just take the pain away.."
"As you wish, tári." She mumbled enchantments and my ears felt...comfort. No ache, no pain. I closed my eyes for a moment, when I opened them, she was gone.

I kissed Kili softly.
"Melamin..." I smiled,"It doesn't matter, we can have a child together."
Kili smiled and spun me, making me laugh.

"So," Thorin clasped his hands together,"Let plan these weddings."
