"911, what's your emergency?"
"Someone kidnapped my boyfriend, they called me on Skype and he was chained to the floor. I was so scared I didn't know what to do and then I hung up and now I'm scared that I won't be able to find him."
Fat tears start rolling down my cheeks as I sob through the phone. I don't know what else to do because I'm sure that Skype calls are untraceable but I need to find him.
"Alright, I'm going to ask you a few questions and I'm going to need you to answer them all. Okay, hon?"
"Yes, I understand."
"What is your boyfriend's name?"
"Aiden Hendrikson, do you need his phone number too?"
"Yes, please give me all the information that you have."
I end going into detail about everything that's happened. I tell them my mom's Skype information, the text message I got from Aiden, everything exactly the way I heard it. The man on the phone was very patient with me so despite the trembling of my hands and the fear of the worst case scenario, I was able to be calm for a bit.
"We're going to contact Skype so we can get the IP Address, we'll call you back once we get the information from them. Remember to stay by your phone, okay? Time is of the essence right now so keep your phone charged and before you know it we'll be right back with you."
Heading to my room, I grab a charger off my bed and I head back to the living room. I plug the charger into the wall and I sit down and wait for my phone to ring. The waiting is most definitely the hardest part. My leg bounces up and down as the anxiety rushes to my head. Is he okay? What did they do to him? When will the police call me back? It's been an hour? A bunch of questions swirl around my head as the time passes by so extremely slowly. Every hour that goes by I get even more nervous and I don't know what to do. When the phone finally rings, I answer the call immediately.
"Hello!"
"Ms. Hamilton, we're going to be at your house in a few minutes. Now, I know that this might be tough to ask of you but we're going to send you into the building to check on the status of Aiden before we swarm the building."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"I'll let you know more of the situation when I arrive. Okay?"
I rush off the couch and hurry out the door, waiting for him. I don't know exactly what to expect but I'll do anything for Aiden. This time, the waiting doesn't make me anxious. We're going to save him. A police car parks in front of the front yard and I rush over to it. A tall black man gets out of the car and he walks over to me.
"Hi, the name's Brockton Andrews, you can call me Brock. I've already sent a few more police cars to the building while I'm going to debrief you on what's about to go down." He opens the passenger seat door and he gestures for me to come in. "I'm not going to put you in danger so I just need you to know that we're all going to be right behind you."
