A few more schools challenged Welston to Turf Wars, and they all lost quite badly. Luckily for the royals, they were only interested in John so all they had to do was sit back and enjoy the show.

For most matches John either picked the royals ability, or ended it very quickly with his own, which was lesser fun but safer for them.

Everytime they won they would celebrate, going to karaoke and bbq. It was also to praise John for doing all the hardwork for Welston. Since it was the official King, Queen and Jacks roles to fight against the other schools.

"Hey guys, when John and Sera graduates, how would we maintain our schools reputation? Literally no one can match Johns level ever." Blyke suddenly brought up a point that was very hard to answer.

"I guess the juniors would have to pick their own powerful King and whatnot to represent the school. If there are really in dire need of help they could always ask us seniors to go back." Arlo said matter of factly, agreeing to Blykes thoughts but knew they couldnt do anything about it.

They continued on with their fun, Singing, dancing. John on the other hand, didnt join in, saying he had a pounding headache and needed to go for a walk.

"Dont worry about me. I think all of this loud noise and blinking lights makes me a little light headed. I'll be back."

It was a lie.

John didnt know why his head started to hurt ever since he escaped from Lincoln. No, slightly after that, but not sure when.

John went to the nearby lake, to clear his head. It was a peaceful night, stars filling the sky and the only sound around were cars zooming past behing him and bugs and birds chirping.

He kind of embraced the silence, not having such a chill day in quite awhile. He loved the silence, just hoped that it wasnt the calm before the storm...

As he thought about it, a pretty blond woman came to stand next to him. He ignored her at first, since it was a public area, until she spoke to him.

"Enjoying your temporary freedom?"

John didnt show signs of him being startled by how they found him. Instead, he casually replied while not looking at her, hands in his pockets.

"Why are you here?"

Even though John doesnt recognise her looks, he knew she was the woman under the mask and cloak.

"I really like you John, im not here for trouble. Ive watching from afar and realised that you are very close friends with my nephew."

John didnt show his shock when he realised she was talking about Arlo. He turned to look at her and really saw the resemblence.

"I also realised that if I come for you, I would also put my beloved nephew in danger. And I dont want that."

Neither did John, but he had no control over these issues.

"So Im here to offer you a deal. I try and refrain Lincoln or Ember from hunting you down, and you keep my Arlo safe. I know you have the capability to."

Even without her saying anything, he would have given his all to protect his friends. So he gave her a simple nod, and she accepted it.

"You're a good kid John, keep up the good work."

The woman had really thought about it. If she wanted John, she had to endanger her Beloved Nephew, and she couldnt bear that. John is a worthy sacrifice to keep Arlo safe in her eyes.

"No one knows my Ember identity, so I trust you to keep it a secret." Not a question, but an order. Or a favour shes asking indirectly.

John nods again.
