Since the mall incident, John has been on high alert. Hes been working with the teachers, scanning the school area for any unidentified auras lurking around. The teachers made sure the dorms were secure, easing Johns load a little. Keene helped with the security because it was his job and didnt want to burden John too much.
John reassured them that he can skip classes due to his high intelligence. His academics shouldnt be a problem to him.
Whenever Sera and John were on the roof playing games or just hanging out, John would still be on high alert. Sera noticed it and was very worried for John.
" John whats wrong? Your so edgy lately, is something going on? "
Johns expression changed from a worried look to a goofy smile in seconds. " Nah just looking out for the school cuz of the mall incident, you know, as the most powerful student? "
Sera kinda understood, but was frustrated he didnt tell her sooner. She could have helped him, she offered many times after hearing what John was doing but he consistently refused.
Since Sera couldnt get anywhere with the stubborn Joker, she decided to trust him.Random questions start filling her head, and she decided to ask John those questions to ease his mind for abit.
" John, what is your actual ability? At least the level you've last measured it. "
John thought about it for a moment, "I guess a 10? Everywhere I went they dont measure ability levels over 10 due to its rarity. But that was 4 years ago, im pretty sure im much stronger now. "
Sera was still shocked, even though hes told her multiple times that hes over the normal leveling. How can a 17 year old boy be that powerful? She knew he didnt start like that, but damn.
If John was this worried about some small mall incident, shes pretty sure theres more to the story than what John had told her. But John refuses to share his information so she left it alone for now. If John didnt want to tell her she probably didnt need to know, she know he has his reasons for not telling her.
To lighten the mood, John suggested they go to Woaba Boaba and skip school. Seraphina was very happy to hear the suggestion and pulled John up, excited. " Wait I need to tell Mr Keene and Mr Vaghn I'm going out of school campus, since my grades and power are more than enough to be top student, and I'm here just so I can get into a college or university, they allowed me to skip classes. Don't worry I wont mention you. Wait for me at the gate ok? I'll be quick." John then ran off, leaving a confused Sera behind.
Another reason he didnt tell her was it was for the schools security reasons, Johns job was partially to stop anyone who he deems as a potential threat when the time comes.
After telling Mr Vaghn that he would be patrolling around the area outside of school, John and Sera went to the Boaba place. Even though they went there to chill out, John was still on high alert. They knew Seraphina was powerful, so they must be targeting her. John noticed someone following them since they left the school, but didnt show his concern to Sera.
They played games on their phones, went shopping in the mall, and took a walk in the park to end off the day.
" Hey Sera, how about you stay over at my place? Its kinda late already and I guess I miss your company. " Sera kinda knew John was saying that to keep an eye out for her safety, and agreed not wanting to make Johns job more difficult. She wouldn't mind spending some alone time with John as well, him being busy and stressed most of the time nowadays.
While walking back, he really wanted to take down the guy following them and question him. The entire day, he's been tailing them but he has some sort of Invisibility with...teleportation? John didn't know specifically because he could sense 2 different abilities but only 1 person. Thats impossible.
