Novel's POV
I decided to leave in the room After the small talk I had with Sandra, I walk outside the campus to be greeted by "Happy Birthday!!" Shawn, Crystal, and... Portia?!
"I think it's nice to surprise you here" Portia smile holding a bouquet of sunflower "Oh my goodness!" I gush smiling widely feeling overwhelmed happy by this gestures, Portia walk toward me giving me the bouquets of flowers that has a velvet Violet box on it "Happy Birthday Novel" she said Kissing my Cheeks "We'll leave you two, we need to prepare for later celebration" Crystal motion Shawn to follow her leaving me and Portia alone, well they not leave but left us for purpose, I roll my eyes before giving Portia a smile
"i-thank you, beautiful" I say to her and she blush "This is at least I can give to you" she said as I lean to kiss her cheek "No, this is amazing, but you don't have to, and since you are here I need to talk to you in private" I ask as she give me a reluctant nod, we walk to the waiting area and sit on the chair that provided for public, I gulp trying to release the nervousness as Portia Put her hand on me and start to caress it
"well this start when the day I know your real name" she nod for me to continue "The Theodore surname you have, well may I ask if this brother you Had is still in contact with you?" I ask and look up to Portia breathing heavily
"You don't need to answer- I'm sorry if I asked, well... just forget it-" I grumble to my words and Portia cut me "No it's...fine, uhmm, I already told you that...I trust you enough" she chuckle in nervous and look to my eyes before her expression change "I Had him, we had him" she start fidgeting to her hand and sigh so she continue "He is my hero, my best friend, my Brother..." she sniffle as I raise her chin to look up to me and start to caress her face to whip the tears rolling down her cheek
"One day, father and him had a fight because he don't want to handle the business, instead he chose a profession that earn less money" she sob as I just listen to her "then he didn't take it anymore and just leave us, especially me" I rub her back, it pain me to see this woman vulnerable,
I kiss her cheek and give her a reassuring smile "I-I j-just...I ...hope t-that I can s-see h-him...again" she sob, I hug her and look at my watch showing it's only 1:57 PM, I know George is still here in the campus on his office so I lean back from hugging her still holding her face
"Come with me" I blurted out as she furrow her eyebrow "W-w-where?" she stutter in confusion, I gently pull her to come with me and gave her a reassuring smile.
We walk through the hallway to the faculty where Mr. Theodore stay, I told Portia to wait for me as I knock and come in to the room, "Uhmm Good afternoon Teachers, Is Mr. Theodore here?" I ask earning a glare and a confuse look from other teachers
"Yess, how may I help you Miss Novel?" Mr. Theodore smile holding a cup of his coffee, I walk to him and talk quietly not wanting for other teachers hear our conversation "I uhm... I know this seems so quick and this well...maybe shock you as well, but I just did this to make her happy and for you to put back the pieces you keep searching..." he furrow his eyebrow clearly confuse
"ugh!! That's sounds twee!! Just come outside!" I groan walking back out of the room, I hear him follow me as I walk first out of the door seeing Portia's back facing the door and the door thud open and close as Portia turn to face me and smile but followed by Gasp wide eye shock "B-b-bro..." tears start to flow down on her face as I move away to connect the gap they're facing
"P?!" Mr. Theodore ask not wanting to cry but failed, they run toward each other crushing for hug "y-you l-left m-me..." Portia muffled sob through Mr. Theodore's jacket punching him a bit "Not, anymore P" Mr Theodore pull away from the hug still holding Portia's shoulder and turn toward me mouthing me a "Thank you so much" I smile and whip the tears rolling down my cheek,
I just can't help it... I cry when I saw someone cry, it's like contagious emotion for me.
"I'll leave you two and Portia don't worry I'll see you later" I wink and walk outside checking my watch 2:39
I immediately run across the drive way as a car almost hit me "What the!!" I yell as I saw the familiar car stop and the tall brunette jump out from the car

"get off from the way" she said seriously with a worried eyes as I began to worry "what's wrong?" I ask
"Please excuse me, I need to go to the hospital right now" she plead as I walk into the front door and seat inside "what are you doing!?" she ask "I'll come with you, now let's go" I said in hurry
she mutter something before driving "yes I'm unbelievable, and I'm your friend now" she sigh "Ok" she answer
We hurried inside the hospital and I assisted her to her mother that also assisted by the doctor, we waited outside of the room as I observe how scared is she so I side hug her and rub her arm for comforts
"everything will be okay" I mutter on her hair as she start to stop tensing up from my touch and for a while being comfortable In my arm.
After a while the doctor walk out from her mother's room "Miss Bullock? your mother is okay now...she is hyperventilating because of fatigue, she's okay now, her anxiety is attacking, it's just because your mother is stubborn" daughter like mother "thank you doc... I'll remind her" sandra sigh as the doctor leave smiling to the both of us, Sandra get inside as I follow her
"You scared me!!!" well great to greet your mother after what happen
I squeeze her arm gesturing for her to calm down as she sigh "Well... hello to you too, daughter" her mother smile as she averted her eyes to mine and her smile grew wider "and great to finally see you Crizzy, How are you?" my brows furrow as Miss Bullock seems to tense up a bit...
Sandra's POV
"and great to finally see you Crizzy, how are you?" Shock jolted in my stomach as I tried to sustain my laughters... I turn a bit to see Novel scratching her head that is now also the color of her skin like a fresh potato poor lady haha!!
"a-I I'm fine ma'am" she stutter, now it's my mom turn to frown "stop calling me ma'am, just call me Laura" my mom lift her right hand to Novel who is smiling and her eyes is sad?
"nice to meet you, Laura...I am happy you're now in a good condition" Novel seat comfortably as she and mom talk happily like neighbour, moms who talk happily about gossip, well they talk about me,
are they sleep talking like shit? Coz Hello!! The person they made as a top topic is just right here!! Listening !!!- well trying to hear the conversation coz God knows what they're talking about, they're whispering with that eyes looking at me
the nurse told us that our visit time is over
"mom, we need to go" my mom nods as she gesture Novel to hug her and it take so long, Novel pull away from the hug and smile towards me, I roll my eyes and kiss my mom's cheek before going out to the room
"so you're going home now?" Novel ask walking beside with me towards my car "No...I'll drive you home, Elle-" I gulp as I accidentally slip my another nick name for her, she seems to don't mind as she shakes her head "No" she easily said "No??... its getting dark I'll drive you safe home" wow it's almost like a pleading tone of mine "Sandra...Just drive me to school, I left my baby there" she smile and jump inside my car, a deep sigh escape from my mouth.
'Baby'... yeah the woman who she date and fuck during our trip... I saw them at the waiting area later that afternoon and she kiss her cheek, and that woman gave her flower like a cringe girlfriend Ughh!!- stop sandra!!! You sound so jealous - No I'm not!!
