Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Sky's Worst Nightmare

"She did what!?" Cried James after Sirius told The Marauders what he just saw Skylar do. "Why would Beauty take advice from Parkinson?! And take something he gives her!" James sounded angry by this and Remus was slightly worried for his friend but also angry to how many secrets Skylar has been keeping.

"I don't know, Prongs, but she also seemed kinda..." Sirius trailed off, not wanting to admit it.

"Turning bad?" Remus guessed and Sirius nodded. "She had that glint in her eye that Death Eater's always have." Sirius said, worry in his tone.

"We need to confront her if she's keeping this many secrets and been lying." James suggested Peter actually looked nervous about this and opened his mouth in protest but nothing came out.

"She's on her way here with the dress and necklace," Sirius said.

"Then let's go," so they went downstairs and, like on cue, Skylar entered the empty common room with the dress and necklace, the same glint in her eye only faint. "Oh ---- Hey, guys!" Skylar said like this was normal holding a strange dress and a necklace with the fire symbol.

"Beauty, what the Merlin is going on? You've been sneaking out to talk to Slytherins, lying to everyone to what your doing, sneaking out at night, and your not acting like your normal self." James asked her in a demanding voice, Skylar had a small panic attack.

"Uh..." Skylar stammered, she gulped down a load of spit in her mouth --- even though, strangely, her mouth was dry --- "Listen, it's none of your business to what I'm doing. I'm fine I'm not doing anything bad I just need to take care of some things." Skylar said.

"Then why are you holding a dress that has fire on it, a necklace with the fire symbol, and Padfoot overheard you and Parkinson what did he mean "Rarest breed of all."?" Remus stated and Skylar felt her blood go cold and anger go through her that her friend eavesdrop on her.

"That was a privet conversation!" Skylar snapped at Sirius angrily.

"Tell us why he said rarest breed, Skylar!" Sirius Snapped back angrily.

"You want to know so badly?" Skylar growled.

"Yes, we want to help you." Remus told her calmly, the only one who's calm.

"Then find out on your bloody own! I can do whatever I want without your permission! I'm my own person!"

"Beauty, please tell us!" James yelled. "I'm tired of hearing my best friend has wondered off and cursed Mrs. Norris, what next? Unforgivable Curses?"

Skylar's mouth fell open with shock at James as Remus gave him a warning look. "I'd never curse someone, James!!" Yelled Skylar, the whole house could now hear them. "I'm a effing good person! I can't believe it...You thought I'd harm innocent people?!"

"It's hard to tell nowadays," James retorted to her and Skylar glared at him.

"Remus the brainiact! Figure it out your own way! Now, if you'll not believe I'm a good person then get out of my sight and never go near me again! I can't be friends with someone who thinks I'd do bad things. Goodbye." Skylar yelled angrily, thunder roared in the background as it started to rain. Skylar walked right past them angrily, prosperously bumping shoulder's with James, but Sirius caught her wrist and turned her to him, her brown eyes glaring into his black ones.

"Beauty, we're just concerned, please, tell us what's going on."

"I'm not Beauty, I'm Skylar, and I will not tell you whats going on until you believe I'm good."

"But we do, Sky." Remus said.

"Clearly not at this moment," Skylar growled and pulled her wrist back and marched up the staircase and Sirius turned to his best mate and hit him in the back of the head making him groan. "Ow! What was that for?!" James yelped.

"For calling her bad, Prongs! Bea --- Sky was a innocent brilliant girl and now you broke her heart!" Sirius scolds him and James had the look of guilt.

"I don't know what happened --- I --- it was like I was taking out my anger to her or something." James said, guilty in his voice.

Remus looked as though he has a light bulb and his eyes widen. "C'mon, I think I know what Sky is." Remus said and ran off towards the Library, Sirius, James, and Peter running after their smart friend.

Skylar put her dress in her closet and ran towards her best friends, Fabian and Gideon, and knocked on their dorm door and Fabian answered. Sky can tell the difference between Fabian and Gideon because Fabian has a mole on his neck and Gideon is a inch taller then Fabian. Sky had tears streaming down her face and Fabian's eyes soften to his friend. "Sky, what's the matter?" Fabian said, concern dripping in his voice.

Skylar couldn't speak at that moment and just buried her face in his chest and cried Fabian sensed this wasn't the time to question her and just picked her up and Skylar buried her face in his shoulder instead, sobbing now. Fabian closed the door and turned to see his concerned twin as he got up immediately and rushed over to his friend as Fabian sat down with Skylar in his lap.

"Sky, what's wrong? Who do I need to murder." Gideon said making Skylar giggle weakly but she didn't remove her face from Fabian's shoulder. "James thinks I'm a bad person...H-he thinks I-I'll use a-a Unforgivable Curse...." Skylar muffled sob into his shoulder and the twin's eyes widen.

"What?"

"How?"

"Sirius caught me getting my d-dress and necklace f-from P-Parkinson." Skylar sobbed and Gideon's hands balled up into a fist but then stopped when Skylar cried harder and Fabian held his friend tighter to him. "Sky, you are not a bad person, that was your powers, your a amazing girl don't you ever forget that." Fabian said to her and Gideon nodded.

"There's nobody I'd ask to be our best friend."

"But they accepted me into their group! They made me one of them! They were with me through everything!" Skylar said.

"And if they can't accept your trying to fix your powers then their not worth it."

But they are, Skylar thought.

Oh my Merlin! I can't believe people are liking this story! I thought nobody would read my Marauder's story since I suck at it!
