Chapter 12

Chapter 12: "Stay strong, my beauty, stay strong."

It's been a couple days now and Skylar hasn't waken up. Jame's Parent's, Dora Potter and Charlus Potter, know of Skylar's situation. Mrs. Potter has given Skylar warm blankets to keep her warm and James has fed Skylar some warm foods. Nothing has happened yet. Skylar is still cold and her hand still feels like ice whenever one of the Marauder's touch her hand. Jackson Parkinson has tried fixing Skylar's found but it's no use, the next day the thread and bandage he put over the stitches it'd be burned up and she'd have a open wound again and no matter what Jackson try's it's no use.

"Why don't we bring he to the hospital?" Sirius says one day as Jackson is examining Skylar's wound. "We can't do anything about it and keep her warm and, if you haven't noticed, she hasn't waken up yet."

"We can't, Black, okay? Being a Protector and Controller of the nature is difficult and nature is protective. The only way to heal her back to health is by healing her properly and with thing's connected to the earth or nature." Jackson explained and looked over to Sirius with a serious look (Note: tempting to write "sirius look")

Sirius sighed and nodded understandingly. "I just thought it'd be better, Parkinson, you don't know her like we do. We don't want her dying."

"That's the thing, Black. I do know Skylar. We were in the same orphanage together, when Prewett twins brought Skylar I was only, what? About either eight or nine. I was a good friend of her's throughout those years until I got adopted a year later. We didn't reunite until our second year. And we kept our relationship secret so you and your gang wouldn't judge her for it, but you did." Jackson told Sirius, giving him a sterin look, Sirius could see a little hurt behind Jackson's eyes explaining this.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know, Parkinson. We're just concerned for her, okay." Sirius told him but Jackson just turned away from him and tended to Skylar's wound.

"Yeah, whatever." Jackson muttered.

Sirius rolled his eyes at Jackson. "Sorry I was trying to be nice. It's always something with you Slytherins."

this seemed to anger Jackson. "Always!" He snapped. "I'm sorry we're not so dare-devil, I'm just trying to protect a friend!"

"s-stop...it..." said a weak voice, both boys looking over, to see Skylar's weak brown eyes open, she was still pale as a ghost. "S-stop...stop i-i.....It" Skylar said again, weak to the bone.

"Beauty!" Sirius exclaimed as Jackson's eyes widen to her, Remus, at that moment, was walking by and heard Sirius exclaim "Beauty!" and peaked his head in the room seeing those soft brown eyes open, his mouth fell open in surprise she's awake.

Skylar heard the door open and turned her head slowly towards the door seeing her furry friend, Remus John Lupin. "R-R-Remmy..." Skylar said weakly and quietly and Jackson and Sirius look over to him as he entered the room and closed the door. "Beauty." Remus said, his heart racing Skylar saying Remmy, knowing whenever she calls him Remmy she's either concerned for him or she's in horrible pain. Knowing that the first one wasn't true and knew she was in horrible pain instead which saddened him knowing his best friend was in pain. He walked over to her slowly and she reached out for his hand and he grabbed it, holding onto it tightly, it ice cold in his hand. She reached over and held Sirius's hand with her other one and looked at the three boy's in front of her, her eyes half opened. "S-...Stop d-doubting Jack-J...Jackson...he's a goo-good person and you ca-....can tru...st him..." Skylar stammered out weakly and Jackson brushed Skylar's brown hair out of her face.

Sirius bit his lip, not exactly sure if he could trust the Slytherin since, after all the feud between Gryffindor students and Slytherin students. But the look he got from Skylar's weak body told him he could trust Jackson, but of course he'd need to earn the trust from Jackson. "But ---" He started to protest but saw both Remus's and Skylar's faces and he shuts up instantly.
