Chapter 9

Chapter 9: A New Plan

The Marauder's were in their dorm, thinking of a plan to apologize to Skylar. It was five days until Christmas and they wanted to let Skylar come to Jame's house for Christmas instead of going to Lily's and seeing her muggle sister, Petunia, who would definitely make fun of Skylar for not having a mother and father. "What if we sent a Patronus speaking "Sorry" to her?" Sirius suggested.

"Do you know how to do one of those?" James asked him, a raise eyebrow.

"No, I expected Moony did."

"Unfortunately, I do not."

"Dammit." Growled Sirius.

"It's a nice idea though, Padfoot." James told him, Sirius sighed and ran his hand through his black curls. "Any other ideas?"

Peter, James, and Sirius suggested ideas while Remus stared down at a picture of the four —- him, Sirius, James, Peter, and Skylar all in their Fourth year —- it was Skylar's fifteenth birthday and Skylar had on a flower crown of daisy's James made her, and in his words "I made it in my own sweat and blood, Happy Effing Birthday.". Skylar did enjoy how he said that and burst out laughing while Remus just rolled his eyes at his friend but grinned.

Remus frowned at the memory and picked up the picture staring at it in his hands. "....what if when the Quidditch Game is over we spell out "We're sorry, Beauty, take us back as your friend" when the game ends?" Peter suggested.

Remus eyes widen and puts the picture back and gets on his knees and reaches around under his bed. James looks at his furry friend weirdly, a raise eyebrow. "Moony, what are you —- ?"

"Shut it! You'll see in a minute!" Remus told him from under his bed. Sirius, Peter, and James exchange the same look and watch as Remus fished around under his bed.

Remus emerge under his bed twenty seconds later, lint and fluff in his caramel golden blonde hair, holding a teddy bear caramel fur, one eye, and wears a necklace of the four elements and wearing a green bowtie.

"Is that Caramel? Bea — I mean, Skylar's teddy bear?" Sirius said, quickly correcting himself of Skylar's name. Skylar has threatened the Marauder's is if they use her Marauder nickname...uh...life wouldn't be that great, as to say.

"Yeah!" Remus said excitedly. "Listen, here's my plan..."

Skylar fluffed her light brown hair in the mirror. She was going out with Lily, The Prewett Twins, Alice, and Harriet to do some Christmas shopping since their way behind on it. Skylar spun around in the mirror to make sure she looked okay, she had on a black long sleeve shirt and over it was a t-shirt that had black angel wings on the back, she wore dark blue tight jeans that'll keep her warm, she had on some combat boots and had fuzzy socks to wear that were black and white striped, she had on a hoodie, unzipped, then a leather jacket over it. She wore her necklace with a fire symbol on it since whenever it's close to her doing the ceremony of each element, like she did for water, was a month away and by wearing the symbol it'll let you keep control of that power fr that day.

Skylar smiled to herself fluffing her hair again to make sure it's not tucked in her jackets and grabs her pouch of 4 gallions, 10 sicklets, and 5 knuts. She stuffed it into her jacket pocket and leaves the bathroom to see Lily pulling on some uggs, wearing a green t-shirt that said "Happiness, Joy, Peace" on it, some skinny jeans, and her red hair in a bride. "Ready?" Skylar asked her best friend.

"Yeah, just about." Lily replied she grabbed her bag of money stuffing it into her pushy light blue jacket pocket, sliding that on. "Where's Alice?" Skylar asked, seeing Alice isn't here.

"She went out to go get Harriet. We're meeting her, Harriet, and the Prewett twins in the Courtyard." Lily told her walking over. Skylar nodded and they headed out towards the Courtyard.

Something been bothering Skylar since they found out her mother's name, Helena, the twins have tried everything to figure out her name but got nothing. Even the simplest spell didn't even work. Skylar didn't know what to do. And neither did the twins which is always a shocker. "Lily?" Skylar finally spoke after they walked in a complete silence for a couple minutes. Lily looked at Skylar. "Yeah?" She said.

"What if we never find out what my last name is? What if I really am a orphan? What if my parent's have more kids and they think of me as a mistake, a failure, a disappointment?" Skylar worried to her, looking into Lily's green eyes with her now watery brown ones. Lily's eyes widen and stopped walking staring at Skylar shocked. "Oh, Sky! You are not a mistake, failure, or disappointment! You're the best girl I've ever met! You comforted me when Petunia said I was a freak!"

"Yeah, because I knew how you felt. Now it's different."

"Sky, it doesn't matter about that. You are a amazing girl and have gone through a lot with your powers, you deserve to know who your parents are like every child in the world does." Lily told her gripping her hand. Skylar stares into Lily's green eyes searching if she's faking it but seeing she is not makes her smile lightly and a small tear slip from her eyes. "Lily Evans, your the bestest friend any girl would ask for." Skylar murmured and Lily smiled back.

"And same goes to you, Sky, now come on we don't want to leave everyone waiting." Lily said and Skylar nodded, agreeing, and wiped her eyes as they continued walking, holding hands but not in a romantic way at all it was a friendly way with a comforting feeling when you see them.

The Marauder's loved the idea from Remus and decided to use it instead of all Sirius and James ideas —- which, as the twins said, "Not Skylar-like what-so-ever". —- Sirius and James know this idea of Remus will work because, why not? Caramel is Skylar's favorite teddy bear.

The Marauder's head to Hogsmeade to find the things they need to make Skylar's apologize when they saw Lily and Skylar talking, Skylar close to tears, they froze wondering why their Beauty is crying but they thought it'd be better then to ask why she's so upset because most likely Lily or Skylar would just huff at them and stalk away. They couldn't hear what they were saying but seeing as Lily made Skylar smile again making Remus's heart beat faster as they held hands and walked off. "What was that about?" Sirius wondered aloud.

"I dunno, Padfoot," James answered.

"Come on, lets go." Peter said and they nodded heading to where the carriages are. They sat down, Peter next to Remus, Sirius and James next to each other. "Moony, are you 100% sure this idea will work?" Sirius asked Remus.

"I'm positive, Padfoot, Caramel is more important to Skylar then life itself." Remus replied and Sirius nodded nervously. After everything they tried you wouldn't blame Sirius being nervous about this idea of Remus's and prayed to God this'll work.

Wattpad changed their writing ways so there's not like space between each sentence, if you know what I mean since I don't know how to explain it. It'd kinda weird and it happened while I was in the middle of writing. I'm okay with this new way because Quotev writes the same way (Place I also write, you can check it out there'll be a link on my profile).
