Chapter 10

Chapter 10: The Apologize

It was Christmas eve and Skylar went to Lily's to celebrate. Petunia just scoffed at Skylar and stormed out of the room. "Did I do something wrong?" Skylar asked Lily.

"No, that's just my sister, Petunia." Lily told her and Skylar nodded.

The next people Skylar met was Lily's parents. They were of course muggles but they found it fascinating that Skylar is a witch too. They asked if Skylar's dog, a German Shepard named Sugar, was magical. Skylar told them sadly Sugar was not she's just a ordinary dog.

Skylar would be staying in Lily's room since the Evan's didn't have a guest room and also Lily said Skylar would be sleeping with her.

Lily's room was any ordinary bedroom you'd think it'd be. It had creamy green walls, a bed with a cozy looking quilt, a light blue pillow with yellow sheets. Lily had one window and if you wanted to sneak out you could just reach out to a tree branch and climb down. Skylar found that amazing. Skylar brought a sleeping bag and a pillow, her sleeping bag dark red and her pillow dark blue. It was a mix of some Gryffindor colors and Ravenclaw. Skylar was actually close to getting into Ravenclaw but the Sorting hat decided Gryffindor because of Skylar's power's and how brave she is to stand up to others and to her friends.

Skylar sets up her sleeping bag a little under Lily's bed, Lily still had room to put her feet on the ground.

They sat around Lily's bedroom, Skylar petting Sugar. "Sky, when are you going to accept the Marauder's apologize? I may disapprove of them but they brought the light into your eyes and you always seemed happier with them." Lily said. Skylar thought for a second.

"Until I ready, if they find the right apologize that fits me I'll forgive them. This isn't me being selfish though. I just want them to reach into their hearts and apologize to me letting me see they know the real me. Not just "Beauty"." Skylar explained.

"I agree." Lily agreed with her friend and Skylar smiled to her friend as Skylar and Lily heard Mrs. Evan's called:

"Girls! Dinner is ready!"

Lily and Skylar left her bedroom, leaving Sugar in there eating his own diner Skylar has brought.

Skylar helped Mrs. Evans with the dishes, just to be polite but also she wanted to. These people have invited her into their home. A dangerous girl. The least she could do was help around the house. "Alright, girls, off to bed or Santa wont get here." Mr. Evans said. Even if Lily and Skylar were fifteen it doesn't mean they weren't excited for Christmas, it's a holiday to bring family together, even if you don't know who you're family is just bring a couple of friends.

Skylar changed into her pajama's which were a baggie t-shirt that had a Gryffindor lion on the front, and baggy gray sweats. It was comfortable and that's all that mattered to Skylar. She lays down in her cozy sleeping bag and Sugar curled up into her side going right to sleep. Skylar lays there as Lily fell asleep quickly, Skylar staring up at the ceiling. Thoughts raced through her mind and one of those thoughts was about the element of fire. She had little time. The element of fire is very dangerous because if the Controller and Protector of the Elements could die easily of she or he did it wrong. She could burn to crisps easily, burn everything around her and nobody would have the power to take out the burning fire, she could go insane, she could burn everything in her sight, forests, castles, animals, people, everything. Skylar felt the panic raise inside her but she took three deep breathes and closed her eyes.
