The Mystery's of Sky (Marauder's Fanfic)

Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Water

Remus, James, Sirius, and Peter have been trying to figure out what is up with Skylar lately. She's been more snappy, more grumpy, staying outside more, or she's in the library reading that book titled Nature's Mystery'sand the Marauder's would like to know why their good friend is obsessing over this book.

They got hints here and there to why, though. Whenever their in Potions class Skylar would stay behind and talk to Slughorn in murmuring voices so nobody could hear them and he'd secretly hand her a potion that she'd slip in her bag without anybody knowing. And in breakfast Skylar doesn't eat meat, either, she says she's vegetarian but Sirius said he has caught Skylar in the kitchens late at night eating a chicken sandwhich but the most biggest hint they've ever found was that whenever Skylar is outside for more then three hours either a tiny flower would grow beside her or the tree she's leaning on the leafs would turn a healthier green.

"There's something up with Beauty she shouldn't be able to do those things." Sirius said one night in their dorm as Remus was looking at the teddy bear Skylar has left in their dorm once more. Remus lightly traced the necklace with his thumb of the elements.

"And why has she been lying to us about her eating meat?" James asked.

"I dunno, maybe Evans would know they've been friends since they've arrived here." Remus suggested.

"But she looks just as confused as we are." Peter pointed out.

"Maybe she's acting it out? She's a good actor." James stated and Remus sighed, running his hand through his already messy hair, and stared more at the teddy bear. "Remus, why are you looking at that bear it's a mess." Sirius asked getting up from his bed and walking over to Remus.

"It's Skylar's, there's a reason why she gave this bear a necklace with the elements and why it has one eye." Remus told Sirius putting the necklace in his palm and stared at it a little more. "And why is everything Skylar has have something of a element on it?"

"What are these elements?" James asked curiously, also to come over and check out this teddy bear.

"Air, Water, Earth, and Fire." Remus said simply when Sirius gasped.

"I know who'd know what's up with Skylar!" He said excitedly, you could see the light bulb on top of his head like in cartoons.

"Who?" Asked the Marauders.

"Fabian and Gideon, they've known Skylar more then anybody in this whole school!" He said excitedly, excited he knew something.

"That might work, let's go ask in the morning it's midnight." James said, yawning at the end of the sentence. They all agreed and went to bed, not noticing the bright crescent moon shining in their window.

Meanwhile with Skylar she was in her dorm, on her bed the curtains drawn, wearing a elegant white dress that looked like it would sparkle in the moonlight, barefoot, she had a necklace with the symbol of water, a bracelet with pieces of shells that would shine in the moonlight, her long brown hair down in curls that were at her waist looking just as elegant.

Skylar sat up from her bed, her dress flowing down to her ankle's, showing off a anklet that had shells and a symbol of water. Skylar's face showed no stress like it usually does whenever anyone see's her, it showed calmness, balance, and the smallest of confidence. Skylar took a steady deep breath and started walking out of the dorm.
