I woke with a groan. Every move hurt. I realized I still haven't even opened my eyes yet. Wait... I'm not supposed to be alive.
Am I dead.

I heard footsteps beside me, and I tried to move to open my eyes, that seemed so set on staying closed.

Finally blinding light, as I opened my eyes. I had to shit them tightly. Slowly I opened them.

I groaned as I sat up. My body protested every movement.

"Hey... hey. Just settle down." I heard a voice say.

My head was spinning
I tried to focus on the person speaking.
A tall figure squatted infront of me.

My vision finally cleared. I took in the person.

They had tan skin. Obviously a man. A long beard tied into braids. Long black hair tied
back. He had warm brown eyes.

"Who are you? Where am I? Why am I not dead?" I asked the questions swirling my mind.

He gave me a small smile.

"Just relax. I saw the explosion. I waited for the fire to go out. The room you were in did not have anything flammable in it. And seemed rather cut off from the rest of the mountain. And seemed to not get as much of the impact. I also recon your survival had so do with what ever you are." He said quietly.

"With what I am?" I questioned not understanding.

I turned behind him and grabbed something . The. Brought it up to my face. A mirror. I studied my reflection. Dark veins could be seen through the skin on my neck and face. New scars littered my skin that were not there before. My eyes now a golden yellow color. I couldn't believe it. This wasn't me. No it wasn't me, it couldn't be. I'm dead. I died in the mountain.

"No... no I died. I'm dead". I said shaking my head.

He gave me another small smile.

"No I'm afraid despite your efforts you are not dead. Far from it. You were close but I'm afraid we couldn't let you die. You have gained a great gift y/n. We have been watching you since you came to the ground. You are the most fersium person on the planet. And im and not saddened that my project made its way into you. Though I am sorry you were not given the choice to take it or not" he said calmly.

He had a look in his eye. Awe it seemed.
He seemed to be impressed by my presence. But I was still confused.

"What do you mean your project? And who are you?" I asked skeptical, looking around the room.

It was a modern room. Very out of place for the times we live in. There were no windows. But lots of plants. Making me question weather we were under ground. It seemed to be some sort of hospital type room.

"Oh excuse me I am Adam. And I am apart of the Livingston people. We are a group of assasins that guard the coalition. There are not many who know of our true existence. Many believe us to be a myth." The man said. Pushing his long hair back.

"The Livingston people. Why have you been watching me?" I asked.

"Like I said. Your skills are legend. You have proven to be strong. And while I am sorry that your journey has been much more difficult than it needed to be. I am very glad that we have crossed paths, and hope you chose to join us one day" he said that same calm smile on his face.

"US? Who is us? How many are there? And where are we right now?" I asked

"You sure do ask a lot of questions. But I guess that is fair. We are at the Livingston compound. The training and living facility for my people. We are only about 10 miles from polis. Of course we are underground to remain hidden. And there are about 200 people here. Not all are assasins though. Some are farmers and engineers and doctors. We have some of the most advanced technology the world has seen" he said. But I couldn't help but notice his eyes settled on my arm when he said the last part.

I then relized I couldn't feel my arm. I moved my right arm. It was sore but completely fine. Then I looked to my left it was hidden under a blanket. But I couldn't feel it. I moved my right hand to pull back the blanket. Then hesitated. Scared to find what was underneath. My hand wrapped around the blanket and slowly brought it down.

My breathing got faster as I reviewed my arm. My new arm.

A matte black prosthetic arm. Replaced my own.

I slowly got up and headed to the mirror on the wall. I realized I was only in boy shorts and a bra. I could see the prosthetic took up my whole arm up to my shoulder. It is realistic.  Like somone dipped an arm in black paint. But it was clearly made out of metal. It had a pattern etched into it. I slowly tried to move my fingers
Finding it as easy as moving my fingers on my right hand.

"Wha... what happened?" I asked my voice shaking for the first time I years.

I heard him sigh.

"Like I said y/n you now obtain a project I have been working on. It was designed to create super humans. While you were already incredibly strong for a person. Now that will be increased tenfold. Your senses are increased, along with strength, and healing abilities. I'm begging you to understand that I couldn't just let that die,
Let you die. While it may be selfish, I just couldn't do it. We were transporting the experiment when we expeperienced trouble from mountain men. We were overwhelmed and they took our people along with the experiment. They obviously didn't know what it was. When you injected it into yourself, it saved you from the blast. Slowed down the bleeding. But I'm afraid we couldn't save your arm. And for that i am greatly sorry. I know you chose to stay I that mountain for a reason. And I hope we will be able to convince you to continue your life. I know there are people you wish to see again" he said carfully.

I looked down tears fell down my face. I couldn't help but see green eyes flash in my head. Along with ontari,Roan, Monty, jasper, raven, Octavia ,Bellamy, Clarke. I didn't even get to tell them that I was alive. I honestly didn't even care what they thought of my decisions any more. I saved there asses. And if they couldn't see me for me, then monty was right, fuck them.

I then thought about what I did. I was so driven by emotion. That I tried to kill myself. God why did I do that. But I'm alive, and I have the opertunity to live again.

"Okay... so I have your experiment. What does that mean for me?" I asked.

"Nothing really. As important as it was. It was truly just a hobby. I didn't really want to do anything with it. But I trust that you will do good with your knew strength. I only ask you stay here for a while and train. You have increased senses, and strength. I would like to study them, how they have effected you. Then if you wish to join my people you can, or you can leave right away and join your people" he said sitting on a chair.

I sighed. I could see my enhanced sight. It was kind of giving me a head ache and I hoped I would get used to it.

"I would like to stay here. At least for a little while" I said quietly. Still studying my appearance.

He smiled and nodded.

"Alright thats great. Well I will let you get dressed. I will be back in about an hour to give you a tour of the compound". He said then walked out.

I looked back into the mirror. Viens covered my body. My eyes kind of scared me. They almost seemed to glow. I studied my new arm. I tapped it. The metal clank I was met with almost made me cringe. I didn't even look like myself.

That was part of the reason I decicded to stay here for a bit. I was different now. And I'm not quite sure how the others will act now that I look different. And from what I have learned the coalition is not kind to those who looked different. Freikdrena. Outcasts of there clans. Thrown away and killed because they look different.

But I also wished to stay because I knew I was different know. I felt this energy running through my body, that I didn't know what it was. And It scared me.

I walked over to my bed. And could help but be surprised. My staff, bow, and swords all sat on the bed. New cloths however replaced the ones that were probably burned. The same type of clothes. Black cargo pants, combat boots, and long jacket. I put then all on. They fit perfectly. I then just waited. I looked around the room. While we were underground. It didn't feel like the mountain. It felt lighter, if that even makes since.

I knew the nightmares would reach me at night. But for now I could escape them.
