Sage was 1 month old
Hailey just returned back to work
KB=how's it feel being back to work
H=well I'm glad I'm just worried about Sage being in daycare and I miss him already
KB=you'll forget about it soon you will get to see him after work
H=I know
After work Hailey went to pick Sage up from daycare
H=hey my baby
Sage made giggles noises
H=you are happy to mommy to aren't you baby
They went to the grocery store to get some food to cook for supper.
H=what do you think I should get Sage?
(Sage makes cahooing sounds)
H=yeah I agree
At home
J=hey buddy
N=here I want to hold him
Noah grabs him from Jay
Can I hold him?
J=yes but you have to go sit on the couch, Noah go with her to make sure she doesn't drop him
H=Caroline you want to help me get dinner started
Ca=yeah sure
J=Caroline can you believe you are going to college next year
Ca=that does sound crazy
N=is no one gonna mention I just got my permit
H=oh shoot that's right I'm so happy for you
Ca=don't celebrate that just means their going to make you get run errands
J=we don't make you do that much
Ca=oh really who picked up the triplets from preschool and picked Myah from elementary school
J=well they're your siblings
8 months later
Sage was now 9 months old
It was late at night Jay and Hailey had all the kids sound asleep except for Sage he recently refuses to sleep so Jay and Hailey tried to put him in their bed
J=cmon Sage mommy and daddy will be here in the morning just take a nap
(Sage continued just sitting up making nonsense noises and looking around the room)
H=I don't think he's listening to you
J=you know what I'm going to show him how to
Jay laid down and shut his eyes attempting to get Sage to go to sleep. But Sage just looking at him and kept kicking the side of Jay's face and would laugh when Jay reacted.
J=ow you little shit
H=Jay, don't call him that
Jay laid on his back so he would be able to catch Sage's foot.
When Sage kicked Jay caught his foot that made Sage laugh.
J=I don't think this kid sleeps
Hailey laughs
H=I don't think he does either
J=I'm going to lay on my back so I will be able to catch his foot when he kicks it
Sage kicked his foot and Jay caught it shock mad Sage laugh even more
Eventually he fell asleep
The next morning
Jay and Hailey had just dropped off Sage at daycare were on their way to work
J=I'm so tired
H=I am too
Walking into district
TP=wow y'all look tired
H=we are
TP=baby not sleeping?
J=nope
Jay and Hailey walked into the locker room
H=I don't know how I'm going to do this
J=hey we did it before
H=I know I just don't remember it being this hard
J=every parent has struggles but we will get through it together just like we have everything else
H=yeah your right, I love you
J=I love you too
