Gender or not?

Hailey was now 16 weeks pregnant
H=hey babe
J=yeah
H=so today at my doctors appointment we have the option of finding out the gender so do you want to or do you want to wait it's born
J=well I mean we found out the genders of the triplets and since this is going to be our last baby maybe we should wait to find out
H=yeah I think so to
At the appointment
Doc=ok so are y'all wanting to know the gender
H=no we're going to wait
Doc=really you think y'all got enough patience for that
J=well we're going to try
At home at night
Tatum=daddy
J=yes
Tatum=I'm tired
J=I know it's y'all's bedtime anyway. Jesse and Jake cmon it's time to go to sleep
Jesse=no daddy please just a few more minutes
J=no
Jake=please dad just a couple
J=no more minutes it's time for bed
They both groaned
Jesse=I hate you
J=What did you just say?!!
Jesse=I said I hate you I heard it's what people say when they get mad at people
J=well you don't say that
Jesse=why not
J=do you love me
Jesse=well obviously daddy your my daddy
J=okay well you love and hate someone
Jesse=why not
J=because hate is the opposite of love
Jesse=what does opposite mean
J=never mind but hate is where you don't like someone at all or like them
Jesse=well I love you and I like you
J=good because I love you so much
Jesse=I'm sowwy daddy I didn't know what hate meant
J=it's okay but we shouldn't say we don't know exactly what they mean
Jesse=yes sir
Jay put the kids to sleep
He walked into him and Hailey's room where she was laying in bed
J=hey
H=hey think we are going to be able to handle not knowing the gender
J=I think it'll be fun
H=yeah it probably will be it's just the suspense is killing me
J=yeah I know but the baby will be here before you know it and you'll be glad you waited
H=yeah
A couple weeks later
Ca=when is this baby gonna get here I'm tired of waiting
H=well I'm 18 weeks so probably 5 more months
Ca=oh great
H=so what do you want the baby to be
Ca=I don't know it doesn't really matter to me
H= yeah we neither I'm happy with both
N=well I want it to be a boy
H=of course you do Noah
Ca=Why I mean you have two brothers
N=yeah but I also have two sisters so this is the tie breaker
Hailey laughs
J=the baby will be here you know be patient
Ca=how am I suppose to be patient when I have to wait 5 months just to find out the gender
H=because it'll be fun and exciting when the baby is here
N=whatever you say
