Luxury (Lux x Jinx)

Dinner

(Sorry this one's short, had class then therapy, didn't get home till late!)

Lux watched as Jinx finished gathering some things. Lux had agreed to plan of Jinx's, hoping to make her feel a little better. Lux was obviously surprised that someone so small and nice could be a crazy terrorist, but she was a crazy terrorist..in a good way? Somehow, it made her feel safer with Jinx, but she also felt like Jinx really needed someone. A friend. Someone who would be there unconditionally. Lux didn't really care about that fact they'd just met, she felt like Jinx was deserving of a good friend. It felt right. Jinx made her happy, with her jokes, her angry grumbles, her touchiness. She wanted to make Jinx happy to, that's what friends are for. Lux sat on jinx's chair, watching the short girl pack a small bag with ammo,bombs, and rope? Lux face melted into her hand. She felt at home. She started to drift into a daydream when Jinx ran over and jumped up and down in front of her.
"Come on! We gotta hurry! I know exactly where they'll be!" Jinx said ecstatically shaking her hand in front of Lux. Then making a slightly disappointed face and putting her hand back to her side. Lux lost count of the amount of times Jinx had tried to hold hands. She felt a little bad, but only family or couples did that. She didn't get what made Jinx so touchy. She thought touch was more of a sacred thing, something only close people did. She shrugged, trying not to mind Jinx's pouty face, and followed her out the heavy metal door. Jinx stomped up the stares, and Lux quietly followed behind.
"Are you always so quiet?!" Jinx groaned
"Yes.?"
"Why? It's so boring!"
"What's something you want to talk about..?"
Jinx looked behind her as they walked
"What kind of food do princesses like?"
Lux lightly giggled
"A lot of things"
"Like what?"
"I'd be easy to just say what I don't like"
"Then do that!" Jinx groaned
"I don't like a lot of vegetables,"
"Jeez you're so vague Blondie!"
Jinx sighed
"I'll take you to get some good food, I know a place"
"Really?! What do they have there?! What's it like?"
Jinx turned around again with a wide grin
"There's that energy!"
Lux let a light smile form
Jinx continued to ramble about the food as they walked through the streets. Lux couldn't control her eyes as they walked through the bustling streets, full of people and shops. Jinx walked  in front of her with a slight skip to it. Her braids bounced along the ground with her steps. Things seemed to become inaudible. Lux was hypnotized by Jinx. How could someone have so much energy. She skipped while talking while pointing while laughing. Lux imagined how lucky someone would be to date her. Which raised the question.
"Hey Jinx" Lux said cutting Jinx off, but jinx didn't mind, she liked when people talked to her.
"Yeah Luxy?"
"Are you dating anyone?"
Jinx stopped her trotting and turned around slowly
"What kind of question is that? Of course not! I don't have time for that crap, besides, no one wants to be with a loon!" She laughed with her arms confidently crossed. She started to walk again, and Lux went beside her after finally finding a conversation
"I think they'd be lucky"
"Lucky? To have a zauny that is more unstable then my bombs?! There's a reason I'm called Jinx yknow"
"Don't be so hard on yourself! Even if you were a Jinx, you're nice!"
"I blew up the council and killed my sisters replacement lady's mom!" Jinx cackled
"You're nice to me at least" Lux chuckled
"Think about how weird I'd look being lovey-dovey! You can't think it cause it wouldn't happen!"
"I could see you In my arms, holding you like a little baby" Lux teased
"In your dreams Blondie! Nobody's holdin Someone big and strong like me like a tiny baby!"
"You are a tiny baby!"
Jinx groaned tugging her lips down to hide her grin
"I'm not tiny! I'm average! At least I'm not a giant dummy!"
"Whatever-"
"Look!!! There!!" She yelled cutting off Lux
Jinx grabbed Lux's hand and darted for a small stand. A large man who was green and blue stood behind the counter. On top was a wooden fish and knife. Jinx sits herself and Lux on to the stools. The man turned around, and his face turned to a more afraid look. He nervously slipped Jinx a menu, and watched as she surveyed it. Jinx looked at Lux, and slid it to her smiling. Lux looked at Jinx then the menu, all of it looked good. She pointed to one with a picture of blue grub like things.
"That one looks good" Lux smiled looking back to jinx, who looked over the menu with her.
Jinx glanced at Lux then to the man
"Two of these ones Cherhico!" She ordered him with a smile. He grumbled, turning around to start making food. Jinx swung her feet and tout her face into her hand. Lux looked down at her.
"Do you eat here a lot?"
"Used to, still every now and then" she said watching her free hand trace around the wooden counter. Lux just watched Jinx's Finger move along the counter. As she watched, she noticed jinx's braids on the ground below. How could someone mistreat their hair so much. Lux carefully picked jinx's braids from the ground and set them in her lap, and went back to watching Jinx's fingers, which had stopped. Lux looked up at Jinx who starred back. Jinx had a bit of a confused look on her face, and Lux had a 'what?' Look on her face, but didn't say anything. The store broke as Cherhico slammed two bowls infant of the girls. Jinx turned her focus to the food and begun to aggressively eat. Lux giggled watching her friend shove the food down her throat. Her fingers were covered in bubbly orange juices from the grubs. After about half of her bowl was gone, like five seconds later, she popped her fingers in her mouth and licked them clean. In the middle of cleaning her paw, she caught Lux staring at her.
"You gonna eat or just watch me?"
Lux quickly looked away, embarrassed. She couldn't help but let a light laugh out replaying the way Jinx gobbled the food. Jinx's neck snapped towards Lux
"What is it?" She hissed
"You eat like a kid-PFFF" Lux couldn't hold her laughter. She laughed to the point she felt like she had no air. She banged her fist on the table and calmed herself down, then looked to jinx who had an unimpressed yet embarrassed look on her face, then went back to her food, now slowly placing it piece by piece in her mouth. Lux was a Little disappointed, but turned to her own food. She stuck her hand in and picked a grub up, biting it perfectly in half. She closed her eyes as she chewed, absorbing the flavors. When she opened her eyes she felt Jinx's stare.
"You eat like a princess, princess." She grumbled. Lux smiled and ate the other half, and then picked up another. Jinx finished quickly, and wasn't happy to have to wait for Lux to nibble through the food. So after Lux swallowed the first half of the bug, jinx grabbed Lux's bowl, wrapped her fingers around lux's chin, and in an ominous tone growled
"Open up Blondie" Lux was startled, but sealed hard and slowly parted her lips. Jinx evil grinned quickly tilted Lux's head back, and dumped the rest of the contents her mouth. Lux tried to chew but gagged, turned, and spit out some of the food. She couldn't bring herself to make eye contact with Jinx. It was embarrassing.
"Should have eaten quicker princess!" She smiled. Lux wiped her mouth of and reached to her pocket for her money. Jinx swatted her hand.
"What are you doing?"
"Paying???"
Jinx grinned. Then grabbed Lux's hand and started to skip, dragging the blond behind. Lux hesitantly followed, she'd never dine n dashed, she'd only read about assholes doing it just to get on nerves. As she kept up with jinx, she looked behind her. Cherhico sadly stacked they're bowls. He looked like he was used to Jinx leaving him with no intent to pay. He probably had no choice, or Jinx would shoot him. Jinx continued to skip through ally ways, her hand still locked to lux's. She seemed so unfazed. She just got up and left him, how would he get that money back? How would he afford the food? Lux felt guilty. Maybe Jinx wasn't all that nice, but at the same time, maybe he did something to deserve it. He was grumpy from the start right? Lux snapped out of thought to a cool breeze blowing her hair. Jinx halted. Before them was the giant body of water, go as far as they could see. The bridges hung above them, and across those bridges was top side.
The setting sun reflected off the water onto jinx's pale skin. For a reason Lux couldn't figure out, Jinx wasn't smiling. She just looked at the water, her eyes neutral. Her loose strands of hair blew in the fresh breeze. Lux felt her face grow a little warm. She couldn't help but let her lips form a soft smile. The cold air felt like nothing Lux had experienced before. Fresh, salty, thick. It was weird, but the thickness added a unique pleasure to breathing it. Lux inhaled as much as her lungs would allow, and released it. She felt a squeeze from jinx, their hands still locked. As childish as Lux said it was, deep down she thought it was mature, not to get embarrassed or weird about simple, comforting, touch. Jinx came off as having the attitude of a kid, but really was more mature then any adult. She broke barriers people weee afraid to. Lux squeezed Jinx's hands back, which earned a small smile from her.
"Let's get going, we've got a performance" jinx smiled, turning to Lux
