When Jinx put her hand over Lux's, she felt goosebumps climb up her arms. Lux observed Jinx's new expression. Her eye brows were slanted up, and she worse a soft smile. Lux felt her stomach flutter, but it quickly sunk to the sound of foot steps coming towards her room. Jinx heard it to, and quickly snaked under the the bed. The door knob rattled.
"O-oh! I'm sorry I forgot I locked it!" Lux said hurrying to the door. She opened it and Vi stood with a tray with food. Her eyes grazed over the room. She noticed the pulled out desk chair that faced the bed, then looked back to Lux, who nervously smiled.
"Did you make this..? It looks great" Lux said trying to keep Vi's mind off the chair.
"Cait made it. I see your getting comfortable"
"Yeah, haha," she couldn't think of what to say.
They just stood there for a second, lux slightly sweating
"Do you want the food or..."
"Oh uhm...yes! Thank you, and thank Caitlyn for me" lux spat her words out trying to act normal.
"Will do. Keep this door unlocked, okay?"
"Yes ma'am! Thank you!" Lux said closing the door in Vi's face"
Maybe a little rude?
Lux sighed and set the tray on the desk. Jinx slid out from under the bed.
"What's for dinner?" She said rubbing her hands together
"Steak, Greens, and Chili. Do you think they poisoned it?" Lux said, obviously paranoid. Maybe they knew? With the chair out of place it looked like two people had been there.
Jinx reached out and grabbed a handful of chili. Lux cringed a little as jinx tossed it into her mouth.
"I don't think it's poisoned" jinx chewed. Then, she started to gag, and through her hands to scratch at her throat, and falling back onto the bed. Lux darted over to her,
"Jinx!-"
Jinx broke out it laughter, pointing at Lux.
She couldn't even make words out, slapping the wall, cackling manically. Lux groaned and face palmed
"You shoulda seen your face!!" Jinx laughed, flipping her face into the bed to mute out her loud laughs.

"You know jinx one day you're actually going to get hurt and I won't be able to tell if it's a joke!" Lux groaned
"Don't be so boring Luxy, I don't get hurt unless I let myself!" Jinx continued to giggle. Lux watched her, even though it had scared her, it made her happy that she made Jinx laugh.
Suddenly rushed footsteps headed towards their room.
"Damn! Again?" Jinx whispered slipping back under the bed. Lux quickly sat in the chair pretending to have started eating.
The door swung open. Vi stood there, her eyes darting around the room.
"What's all the ruckus?" Her eye brows narrowed.
"...What?"
"There was tons of loud laughter! I heard it!"
"What are you-"
Suddenly, Caitlyn came storming towards Vi
"Vi! What are you doing?!"
"Cait I think she's-"
"You're just paranoid Vi. Let it go, she's not your enemy!"
Vi scoffed and walked away. Caitlyn looked to Lux.
"Im sorry about her, she's just on edge is all."
"It's okay, I can't blame her. Thank you, by the way, all of this is really nice of you"
"Of course, you've been through a lot and we want to help." Caitlyn smiled, closing the door before walking away.

"I hate that lady" jinx growled still under the bed
"At least she saved me from Vi, she could have figured out you were in here y'know"
"Yeah yeah, just annoys me how fake she is."
...
"Why don't you come have some of this, it's not half bad"
Jinx shuffled out from under the bed and sat on the bed. Lux picked a piece of steak up with the fork, and fed it to jinx. Lux giggled. They took turns taking bites till the food was gone. By then it was midnight. Lux was tired, her eyelids drooped and she speech slowed. She felt like passing out, but wanted to listen to Jinx talk, but Jinx noticed her eyes droop.
"You should get some rest Luxy, you look tired"
"Hm, yeah I guess so." She smiled slowly getting up. Jinx stood from the bed and pulled down the quilt for Lux to get under. Lux was to tired to say anything. It's like she was drunk. Lux lay down, and jinx pulled the quilt onto her.
"G'night princess, see you in the morning" jinx yawned, not really having a plan for herself. Before Lux could respond she was sound asleep.

[the next morning]

Lux woke up to yelling. The door of her room was wide open, and Vi stood there with Caitlyn, visibly upset. Lux just looked at them confused.
"What the hell is this!!?"
"You were just lying to us?! Why?!"
Lux realized what they were saying. As she tried to get up she found herself weighed down. On top of her quilt, was jinx, sprawled out like a cat on its owner. Lux let out a nervous laugh, shaking Jinx's shoulder as Vi and Caitlyn continued to yell. Vi started getting close, and grabbed Lux's wrist.
"I knew you where up to something! Get up!"
Suddenly, from on top of Lux, jinx landed a punch into Vi's face, knocking her off balance. Lux just lay there shocked.
"Leave her alone!" Jinx yelled jumping out of the bed onto Vi's back, keeping her down. Caitlyn tried running to help Vi, but jinx pulled her gun from her belt, aiming it right at Caitlyn's face.
"Get up princess we gotta go"
Lux rushed to get up, and waved to Caitlyn as she ran out the room, quickly followed by Jinx. They barged through the front door of the Kiramman household, running like never before. As they ran they laughed. Even Lux could admit it was funny how surprised they were.
The duo dashed through Piltover, after about 5 minutes sirens blared, but Jinx and Lux had already made their way to the bridge. As soon as they reached the other side of the bridge, they crashed to the ground, trying to catch their breath.
"Whew! That was fun!" Jinx cackled with her raspy voice
"I was just as surprised as them at you sleeping on me" Lux teased, playing off how flustered it had actually made her
"I must've slept walked up there! I wasn't conscious!" Jinx argued in a playful manor
"Whatever I know you slept there on purpose"
"I di- event if I did do it on purpose, I'd be to sleep on a bed and not the floor"
"Mhm..."
Jinx groaned, making Lux chuckle.
"Now what?" Lux asked looking at jinx
"We gotta go check on the council, or what remains of it" jinx grinned, standing up and offering her hand to Lux, who with no hesitation put her hand in Jinx's, who quickly pulled her up.
