Nothing was working. She'd very literally told Lux she wanted to kiss, but Lux just thought it was a joke. She wouldn't take Jinx seriously. What did it take for Lux to process it wasn't a joke? Jinx was as straight forward as possible. Maybe not smiling would help, if she made herself look completely serious. Why did confessing have to be such a struggle. Jinx wanted to rip out her hair and gun down a crowd, But Since Lux showed up, she'd have had more self control. It was new, and she didn't know if it was a good or bad thing. Whatever, she got to spend the day with Lux, shopping and stuff. Lux seemed pretty exited for the day, she was definitely the shopping type.

"I'm tired Luxy" Jinx complained rubbing her eyes
"You can take a nap later!"
"But-"
"Come on lets go!" Lux excitedly grabbed Jinx's hand. That was a surprise, Jinx was always the one to grab Lux's hand.
"..Uuh"
"What? Lets go!"
Jinx knew she was a little red, how could she not be? Lux made a move. Lux initiated it. That was enough to wake up Jinx.
"Okay," jinx squeezed her hand, Lux turned smiled
"Come on!" Lux tugged Jinx to the door, and out of the hideout.
"I'm guessing you won't wear anything that's not cropped?"
"Not unless you really want me too"
"Good! I have some ideas!"
"Oh yeah? What kind of ideas?" Jinx teased
"A sweater, Jinx"
"Lame"
"You don't want one?"
"I do"
"Okay then, let's hurry we've got a lot to do!" Lux smiled pulling Jinx along faster through the streets. It was pretty fun getting dragged around by a cute tall blond girl. 
Lux talked about clothing the whole way to the main market area. About how certain things matched, or certain materials wouldn't work, or some other stuff Jinx didn't get. Lux lead her into a casual looking store, not fancy, which was a good thing.
"I'm going to go look at stuff, you behave"
"I'll try"
Lux smiled and walked off deeper into the store. Now jinx was on her own. Now it was boring. She decided to make herself use full and look for some new things for Lux. Blue looked good on her, but so would any colour. Maybe light pink, I'd go good with her hair. A baby pink crewneck sweater, black T-shirt, baggy jeans. It looked like I'd make a good outfit for Lux. Jinx looked around, Lux's blond head stuck over the shelves. She skipped over to her, and found Lux had a basket full of clothes.
"How'd you even find that much?!"
"You'd look good in a lot of things"
"Oh you must think I'm pretty cute then"
"Shut up" Lux tried to hide her smile, but jinx followed her face
"I'm right aren't I?"
"Let's go pay"
"You know I won't let you do that"
Jinx clasped her hand with Lux's, and casually led her out of the store. The store keeper starting yelling, and Jinx just flipped him off.
"Come on he's going to chase us!"
"I'll stab him if he tries"
Lux giggled. Jinx liked protecting her, It was so worth it. Especially for that giggle and smile. Why couldn't Lux just trust what she said?
"I think you'll like what I got you"
"Yeah? Will I look good?"
"Yea- the clothes will suit you"
"I heard you say yeah"
"I meant the clothes"
"Sure you did"
Jinx stared at Lux as they walked. Today could be the day she was finally able to kiss her. It was hard not being able to smooth her hand over Lux's face there and then. Why did she have to be so damn pretty.
"Jinx You're staring"
"Cause You're pretty"
"What?"
Jinx grinned at Lux's red face
"I said you're pretty"
Lux was quiet and kept her head turned as they walked. Jinx smiled to herself, it was like winning a fight when Lux just accepted it, she could have said to quit joking, but she didn't. Jinx was pretty confident that Lux had at least a smidge of feelings for her, otherwise she wouldn't turn red all the time. Even when she did tease Lux she wasn't lying, she just made it seem like a joke. Obviously teasing Lux wouldn't make believing Jinx any easier, but it was a habit she couldn't cut.
By then they were back, and Lux got back to being exited.  She quickly started pushing Jinx towards the bath room
"Come on Go shower!"
"I think I know why you want me clean so bad~"
"Just shower and get dressed" Lux pushed Jinx into the bathroom with the clothes and shut the door
"I might need some help Luxy"
"You're an adult"
"That's the fun part"
"Just clean up already I can smell you from here"
"Fine, Thanks for the clothes Luxy"
"Take your shower"
"I know I know"
Jinx turned on the hot water, but it was more of warm water. She really did wonder why Jinx wanted her clean so bad, obviously it wasn't the reason she was thinking of. Maybe she just didn't like it when Jinx was dirty sleeping on her. She'd never noticed much of an oder from her hair.
Jinx quickly undid her braids, pulling out the ties and holders. She didn't like her hair when it was loose, there was to much to manage. Lux was right about it being greasy, it nearly held the braid position. Even jinx was a little disgusted at the lack of hygiene. She peeled off her clothes, a little dirt fell out but it wasn't a lot. She nearly tripped over her pants that had stuck a little to her ankles. Yeah, now even she could admit she needed a shower pretty bad. Jinx stepped in the shower and hurt her teeth. She didn't shower often because she didn't like water. She wasn't afraid of it, she just hated it, like a cat or something. Quickly, she got shampoo in her hair, rubbed it through, rinsed it, and repeated with conditioner. Before being in for 10 minutes she had a full shower, body wash and all. The moment she finished washing she hopped out, grabbed a towel, and aggressively dried herself off.
"Stupid water" she murmured trying to dry her hair. It was the first time she'd dried her own hair since Silco. Then it hit her. Who was going to braid it? It was to long to do herself... Lux. Lux could braid it, I'd provide a good time to tell her she was serious too. Perfect.
Jinx put on some clothes, black work pants and one of her own black sports bra's. She was going to jsut wear that, but it might be to comfortable for Lux. Jinx grabbed a bright green sweater Lux picked out and through it on. She tossed her dirty clothes in the tub, boots included, they reeked, into the tub and opened the door.
"Luxy I need a hand"
"You better be clothed"
"Don't get exited princess im wearing some stuff you got me"
"Oh really? I wanna see"
Lux walked into the bathroom, which barely had steam. Jinx felt a little weird with her hair down, it's like she was naked, but bad.
"Oh your hair"
Lux stared jinx up and down. Why did she have to point out the hair and not just focus on the clothes or something
"I like it"
Jinx's face got warm at the comment. She didn't like her hair down but Lux did?
"I-I need you to braid it."
Lux stared at Jinx like she was analyzing her
"Okay,let's go to the couch"
That was a relief. She didn't like comments while it was down.
Jinx grabbed the hair bands and quietly followed Lux to the couch. She was somehow nervous, maybe cause her hair, maybe cause she was about to confess in a serious manor.
Lux sat crisscross at the edge of the couch, Jinx sat in front of her in the floor
"Do you know how?"
"Yeah, I use to style my friends hair for fun" Lux lifted jinx hair onto her lap and quickly ran her fingers through it. Jinx insanity felt goosebumps all over her arms and scalp. Normally she'd flirt at a time like this but she was nervous, which was unusual. Did she use Lux's name to get her attention? How did she Start talking?
"So...Luxy,"
She already failed to seem serious
"Hm?" She seemed focused on braiding
"I wasn't messing with you last night"
"Jinx...it's not funny"
"I know,it's not supposed to be"
"Jinx stop joking it's kind of mean"
Lux genuinely thought she was just doing this to mess with her
"Lux" jinx turned around and held Lux's wrists, who still held some of her hair. She looked surprised at the sound of her name.
"Lux im serious"
Lux looked down at jinx confused
"W-what do you mean?"
Jinx tightened her hands around Lux's wrists
"I mean I want to kiss you"
"What?"
Jinx wanted to smile and just let Lux braid her hair, but she had to tell her.
"I want to kiss you."
"Y-you-" Lux stuttered. It finally hit her that Jinx wasn't kidding. Finally.
"Do you believe me" jinx leaned closer to her face, it was hard not to grin at Lux's red face
"I-I uh i-I don't know" Jinx couldn't wait, she wouldn't kiss her unless Lux initiated it, but she could tease Lux in a way. Jinx got her face real close to Lux's, who nervously scooted to the back of the couch. Jinx slowly stood up, keeping her head no further than three inches from Lux's, and moved her fingers to intertwine with hers. Lux gripped her hand back, which was enough for jinx to let the grin slip onto her face.  Jinx leaned over Lux, using one leg to stand and the other was knelt on the couch in front of Lux. She leaned closer. Lux starred in her eyes, it tempted her but jinx wouldn't kiss lux, lux had to kiss her. She could feel Lux's warm breath on her own face, she struggled to keep herself from getting closer.Lux looked like she was going to go for it , her eyelids started to close. Jinx felt her whole body tingle with excitement when she saw Lux's eyes start to shut. But it was ruined.
"Hey Powder! You forgot your gu-"
Jinx's neck snapped away from lux and she threw her self off of her.  She quickly sat herself up on the opposite side of the couch as Lux, who was frozen, except for her heavy breathing.
"Oh my god... powder were you- what were you two doing!?" Vi grinned setting Jinx's gun on her desk. Jinx could here her heart in her head, she was really pissed.
"She had something in her hair, I just reached over to get it" jinx was good at lying, it sounded believable but probably wasn't after what Vi saw.
"Is that what happened Lux" vi had the most annoying grin on her face.
"H-Hu-uh hu"
Vi stared at Jinx with that sly grin. She definitely knew now.
"PFFF. I'm going to go tell Caitlyn she's gonna love this" vi started backing towards the door
"Oh and be safe tonight!" She broke out laughing and ran out as quickly as she ran in. Jinx let out a loud groan.
"I'm throwing a bomb in their room tomorrow"
The mood was totally ruined. She got so close too. Jinx looked over to Lux who was still paralyzed on the other side of the couch.
"You alive?"
No reply
"Luxy do you need cpr?"
Lux quietly pulled her legs up to her chest and tucked her head into her hands.
"You're Crazy" Lux chuckled a Little
"I told you I wasn't kidding Luxy"
"I guess"
This was too awkward. They didn't even kiss. They just got close.
"Good job with the clothes by the way, i like them"
"That's good"
She was being quiet, not a good sign. Was she mad?
"Wanna finish braiding?"
Lux nodded and sat criss cross, Jinx crawled on to the floor in front of her.
"It's soft when it's clean" Lux started braiding again.
That kind of surprised Jinx, Lux didn't seem to be in a good mood.
"Yours is softer" Jinx chuckled, trying to keep the mood up
"Why were you going to kiss me?" Lux sounded nervous.
"I wasn't, you were"
Lux sighed and put her focus back on the braiding.  So she was. That's a win. 
"So. Tomorrow i was thinking we could actually throw a bomb into their window at night, payback"
Lux was quiet
"Why you so quiet Luxy?"
"Just focused"
Jinx spun around and pinched both of Lux's cheeks, pulling them into a smile.
"There's that smile!"
Lux started giggling. Jinx, satisfied turned back around
"If you stop smiling you sleep alone"
"You wouldn't let me"
"I know"
Lux quietly finished jinx's braids, she was pretty good at it.
"All done"
Jinx lay her head back into Lux's lap, she was smiling.
"Thanks Luxy"
Jinx jumped up onto the couch next to Lux with a big grin.
"You okay princess? You've been quiet since the whole kiss thing"
Jinx acted like it was normal, she didn't want lux to feel uncomfortable
"I'm okay.. i just.. don't get what that meant"
"It meant I think you're cute and you should get kissed more"
"..by you?"
Jinx grinned and leaned onto Lux's shoulder
"If that's what you want princess"
Lux was quiet for a second
"in a best-friend way..?"
It wasn't
"In whatever way you want Luxy" jinx grinned ruffling Lux's hair
"Come on Blondie, lets sleep"
Jinx closed her eyes but opened them to a warm feeling. Lux hugged her. Jinx was a little shocked but brought her arms around her, placing one hand on the back of her head. Jinx held on to Lux and reclined onto the couch. They'd never lay down to fallen asleep, but Lux seemed cozy on Jinx's chest. She was awake, laying on top of jinx, using her as a cushion. It was like a dream or something. Jinx couldn't help but bring her arms on top of Lux and play through her hair. She could feel Lux's smile through her sweater. Jinx fell asleep to the feeling of Lux's hair in between her fingers. She didn't get her kiss, but she made progress. She was happy with it. She placed everything in Lux's hands. If Lux wanted to be more, she knew they could be more. If Lux wanted to kiss jinx, she knew jinx would kiss her back.
