!SLURS, HOMOPHOBIA!
|Lux|As expected, her mom was disgusted. Lux wasn't really that upset, she'd expected this, for a long time. Since she was young she'd gotten use to it, and wasn't bothered by her moms yelling, or her disappointment. Maybe Lux would be upset if she hadn't been desensitized to her mother. Her father on the other hand was always quiet and distant, he was always nice to Lux. Even now he didn't seem that upset, but he wouldn't truly react till her mother wasn't around. She really didn't know why he didn't just divorce her if he didn't feel comfortable around her. Jinx, seemed okay so far. It was hard not to laugh at her talking shit about Lux's parents, she was making the whole situation better than it would've been. She was however a little worried for what was next. Sitting in the living room waiting couldn't mean anything good. Hopefully her mother would be civilized, but Lux doubted it. She knew she wouldn't have any issues emotionally with anything her mother said, the worst she could do was say she hated Lux, and not even that was a big deal, because Lux already knew she didn't really care. Jinx, on the other hand, probably wouldn't have it. Knowing her, Jinx would likely get upset on Lux's behalf. Which was cute how much her soft caring side showed, but would also be sad seeing Jinx upset. She didn't deserve to have to put up with Lux's family issues.
It had been about ten minutes, Lux and Jinx still waited on the couch. Cracking little jokes about what was going to happen. Their chatter was interrupted by the menacing approaching steps from the kitchen. Lux looked at Jinx and gave her one last smile before her parents entered the room. It was time. She took a deep breath as her parents sat on the opposing couch.
"Lux dear," her mother started stirring a cup of coffee in her hand.
"Clarify what you want here."
"For you two to understand and accept the fact that I have girlfriend, and that I'm leaving, for good."
Her mom seemed to be trying hard to keep her cool
"What does that foreign fag have that a gentleman here doesn't?"
Lux held tightly on to Jinx's hand, not for her own comfort, but for Jinx. She knew she had a short fuse, especially with people like her mother.
"First of all mother, I like woman, and love Jinx. No one has ever made me as happy as her"
Out of the corner of her eye, Lux could see a light smile appear on Jinx's face
"You are not a queer. Those people are not right in the head" her mother sternly barked
"Shut the fuck up lady" Jinx scoffed before Lux could even speak.
"Excuse you, I'm speaking with my daughter" she growled back to Jinx
"Your daughter is perfect, and you're a shit mom for not recognizing that"
"You have no right to say that"
"I do, because I actually love Lux, and care about her, clearly a lot more than you do"
"You're just some scrappy dyke from some hole, you have no right to intervene with this family!"
Her mom was loosing her cool, which was pretty fun to Lux, but Jinx seemed just as pissed as her mom. It did feel nice hearing jinx say all that stuff and have her defend her, but Lux didn't want her to get so upset.
"Jinx," Lux said in the calmest voice she could, which immediately got her attention. Lux set her hand on the side of jinx's neck opposite to her, and pulled her head to hers. She could hear an audible gasp from her mother her watched in disgust as she gave jinx a quick and simple kiss on the lips.
"Lux! Stop that at once!"
Lux looked away from jinx, who wore a grin, back to her mother. She looked so disgusted at Lux it was funny.
"You have no daughter, or you have a woman loving disappointment, but still a daughter "
Her mom just scowled and stormed out of the room, not saying a word. Her response didn't matter anyways. Now Lux's focus was on her father, who had just watched everything unfold.
"I'm not used to this, but congratulations, on finding real love, Lux,"
He sighed
"Ill admit I'm disappointed you're leaving, but I'm glad you have the gut. I'll miss you."
"Thank you father, I'll make sure to visit you"
"You're a cool dude!" Jinx smiled before standing up and walking towards the large man, giving him a big hug. Lux was a little surprised by that, but it was nice seeing Jinx getting along with her favorited parent.
"You're a good dad" jinx chuckled squeezing the life out of Lux's dad.
"Thanks kiddo, and for loving my daughter" He had a kind voice, it was deep but soft. Jinx looked pretty happy as she trotted back over to Lux on the couch.
"I'll talk to your mother. You two should go pack."
"Thanks dad" Lux smiled as she stood up.
That went better than it could have. She never expected anything but that from her mother, but her dads reaction did matter. He'd always been a nice quiet guy, he barely spoke with Lux's mother in the same room. He used to love her, but that faded. She assumed he'd have the reaction he did, but jinx hugging him probably sealed the deal for him. Her dad liked Jinx, which was kind of surprising even for him. It didn't matter what he said to her mom though, she had complete control over the family.
