When the sun rises [poetry]

the sound of silence

Sometimes when the silence hits
You can hear it loudest
even in a common place
it somehow seems too quiet

sometimes when the silence breathes
you can hear it sighing
but even if you listen close
no sound of secrets hiding

sometimes when the silence goes
you can hear it fading
and when its overcome by sound
you can hear it wailing

and sometimes when the moments still
maybe in the slightest
there is no bird or voice or wind
only, and completely
silence.
