I don't understand.

Chapter 18.

The note Luke left me said to go to the Italian restaurant up the road which was quite nice. Although we weren't staying there. I quickly said goodbye to my mum, Gina, Beau and Jai then walked out the door. It was a really nice evening actually. It wasn't cold or warm, just perfect. I got to the front door of the restaurant and looked in. There were a few people in there and the bar attender spotted me and smiled. I walked In to approach a quite cute guy who was the bar attender. "Hi my name is Sophie." I said to him shyly. He smiled and gave me a little box. "Luke needs you to go down to the door with a star at the side of the nightclub" he said confidently. I nodded and said "thank you" then walked out the door. I carefully opened the little box I was given to find a beautiful bracelet with cute little charms on it. One of them was a heart which was bigger than the other charms and I turned it over and it said on the back :

It was so cute. I smiled to myself and walked up to the club. The door with a star on it was around the side. I walked up to it and knocked. A girl answered and smiled. "You must be Sophie!" She said excitedly. I nodded and she took my hand and lead me inside. She fixed up my hair and makeup then gave me another little box. It had keys in it. What were they for? I looked at her confused. "Luke will explain it to you. You need to meet him down at the beach. Have fun on your date sweetie" she said to me giving me a hug and lead me out of the door. I smiled and said "thank you so much!" So I didn't seem unappreciative. I don't understand why Luke couldn't have just given me those things in person but I guess this way it's more surprising. I walked down to the beach to find Luke sitting on a blanket on the sand with a picnic basket beside him. He looks up and smiles at me then runs over and lifts me into the air spinning me around then putting me down again gently. "You look beautiful" he said meaningfully to me. I blushed. This was so cute. Suddenly he put thumbs up to the side of him and lights flashed directed at us. "Luke what's happening?" I asked him. Honestly I was a bit scared but then Luke bent down on one knee and pulled a small box out of his pocket.

"Sophie, will you marry me?"
I smiled straight away and nodded because I was speechless then he put the ring on my finger and lifted me up and spun me around again. "I love you so much Sophie!" He shouted to me as I was screaming at him to put me down. "I love you too Luke can you please put me down!" I said in laughter. He put me down then there was an applause from the bushes and a few people came out holding lights and a camera. Luke kissed me passionately with his arms around my waist and I put my arms around his neck for comfort. I felt a few flashes as if people were taking photos and I giggled during the kiss. Then the people left and we sat down to eat. After we had eaten Luke got up, took his shirt off and yelled to me "I'm going to throw you over my shoulder and carry you home!" And I was petrified so I got up and ran towards the water when I realised that I was wearing my good dress and I didn't want to get wet. Luke cornered me so I was in between him, the water and a huge tree. Then he ran up and picked me up and ran into the water. It was so cold oh my god. We swam in the water splashing each other and laughing. Then he stopped and came up to me slowly. "I love you Sophie" he basically whispered. Instead of saying it back I just jumped onto him and kissed his soft lips.
