I don't understand.

Chapter 22.

The nurse came in and I was laying on the stretcher bed texting Luke.
Sophie-Luke: Luke something happened and I'm in hospital I'll explain when you get here. X x
The nurse got this gel in a tube and rubbed it on my belly. It was really cold so I was squirming a bit. Then my phone went off telling me I got a text from Luke.
Luke-Sophie: hope you're okay beautiful I'll be there as soon as possible x x
He's so cute. After they put the gel on the nurse put this X-ray thingy (I don't know what it's called) on my stomach and a picture in black and white of my baby popped up on the screen. The nurse looked worried at first which scared me but then her face lit up. "I can hear your baby's pulse. It is okay. Have you organised for someone to take you home? I don't think it's safe to drive" the nurse explained. I was relieved. "Thank you so much. My fiancé Luke should be here any minute no-" Luke bursted into my ward. "Sophie Sophie! Are you okay baby? Is our baby okay?" He asked worriedly. "Yes the baby is okay you can take me home now" I said to him smiling. He then helped me out of the bed and we went to the car and Luke drove us back home. "So what happened babe?" Luke questioned me. "I was at the supermarket and I walked in to see my father staring at me so I ignored him and carried on shopping when he cornered me and was yelling in my face then he poked my stomach and asked why it was big and I told him I was pregnant then he called me a little slut and punched me in the stomach." I carefully explained to Luke. He looked at me shocked. I better call mum tonight and tell her everything.

I didn't end up buying anything from the supermarket and it was closed now so Luke just ordered a pizza. While we were waiting for it I called mum and told her everything. "Hey mum I hope you and Mamma G are having fun! I have to tell you everything.. Luke took me on a date the day you and Gina left and Luke brought me some cute stuff which you must see when you get back and he asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes! One of the gifts I got was a set of keys which are for mine and Lukes new house that he payed for! He is so amazing! Uhm today I saw dad at the supermarket. He punched my stomach and I had to go to the hospital to see if my baby's okay. It is which is good and now we are just ordering pizza for tea." I explained to her. "Oh sweetie that's amazing! I'm so happy you found Luke! You two are going to make great parents no doubt. When I get back me and you can go to the police. This can't just keep happening. I'm so glad you are all okay. Well I have to go but I'll see you tomorrow. Okay bye I love you take care" mum ended the phone call. I feel much better after telling her. Me, Luke and Beau are the pizza then watched a movie and fell asleep on the couch.
