A ruined book, a Reparo, and red nail polish
READER'S POV

I had told Da how looking at the twins had changed. He had just laughed and ruffled my hair, and said I was growing up, but offered no explanation, which left me at a loss. A loss which was so intent on bothering me that it took up enough of my mind so I had to reread the last sentence of my book three times over and I still didn't take it in. Maybe Tonks or Angelina and Alicia could help.

I hopped up from my spot on the grass, heading toward the castle. Valerie and a group of Ravenclaws walked past me, probably going to go tickle the Giant Squid as today was a nice day.

"Hey, (Y/N)!" I heard a voice behind me, making me turn.

Valerie strutted over, her curly blonde hair bouncing with each step. "So, (Y/N), on Friday we have the first two periods together, so I was thinking we could sit together, and–"

"–Valerie, I would love to sit next to you in every single lesson we have, and I would love to hear the rest of that plan, but I am really busy right now, so how about we discuss it at dinner tonight?" I grinned warmly at the girl, who huffed and spun on her heel, marching back over to the group of Ravenclaws.

Okay then.

I was now sat on Angelina's sparkly rug which she had her parents owl from her room, 'to put a bit of personal touch in', she said. Alicia was laid on her stomach on her bed reading 'TWITCHES: THE GO-TO MAGAZINE FOR TEEN (AND TWEEN) WITCHES'. Angelina was busy messing around with a radio with a flower painted on it. Once the Weird Sisters started blasting from it, she put her hands on her hips and nodded with a 'hmph', and took a step back.

"So, (Y/N)," Angelina started, coming and sitting next to me, "What seems to be the problem?"

I fiddled with my shoelaces. What if they laughed at me? Maybe I should've went to Tonks. But her and Charlie was busy, and I didn't want to interrupt.

Bugger it. If they laughed I could always make Miffy shred their robes.

I took a breath in, "Well, I was taking photos with the twins yesterday-"

"-You lot have a camera?" Alicia asked, placing her magazine down.

"It's my Polaroid, yeah. As I was saying, we were taking photos, and well – The twins look good." I rushed out, looking down at my lap in embarrassment.

Angelina snorted, "I could've told you that."

"Same." Alicia added.

"But you're different, I grew up with the twins!" I explained.

"It's natural. Normal. It's a part of growing up." Angelina reassured me.

I blushed, feeling stupid, and nodded.

"Are you going to laugh at me now?" I asked, shifting uneasily.

"Of course not, we're friends, we wouldn't laugh at you for something like that!" Alicia comforted, "So, do you just think they're pretty or do you have a crush on one of them?"
