"Can I spike him?" Byrin grumbled next to Rose after the night grew thin.
"No, he's too loose with his powers. If you attack him now, he will overpower you." Rose argued as she slumped back onto the couch.
"Besides maybe he still has hope in the systems?" Logan piped up from the table. He was busy adjusting some of his old clothes to fit his new form.
"Oh yeah, his new girlfriend might agree with you." Lyric rebutted as they returned to the room.
"New girlfriend? It's only been a week." Logan questioned, his work all but forgotten about with the new information.
"Elena, his mistress. They got together in front of the whole villa." Rose groaned out. She hated recalling how the affair became public.
The event was a preturbing one full of confusion and delusion. Aklin had summoned the whole town together, the crazed adults and all. In his hold was the black market queen herself, he held her with endearment. The townspeople, mainly the adults, went crazy with joy over the progress.
"We didn't want to tell you. We figured it would hurt you more than help." Byrin admitted.
"How long have you known?" Logan slumped in his seat.
"Over a year. He had an affair with her right after the menthol drought." Rose commented. She could see the anger in his eyes forming over the news.
His shoulders slumped as he let out a distraught sigh. What his whole world was built on formulated by a lie. The man he loved so dearly, so expansively, never loved him back.
"I hate him. I can't wait to punt him." Logan grumbled, his heart was broken and he never knew the difference.
"We all hate him, it's time to take back the world." Byrin added.
