"Logan!" Byrin broke through the shock and raced towards the unconscious man.
"Byrin be careful, magical residue is strongest after the hosts explosion." Lyric called out, they held their girlfriend within their arms.
Behind the pulpit nearby where Logan was slumped, Elena finally reemerged from behind the cloth wall fixtures to help Byrin, to heal Logan's injuries. She watched everything and was horrified with Aklin, he had played her even when she knew, with everything she knew, all of her speculations were correct.
"He lied, I knew about the affair. But he lied about you two. He left you to die, didn't he?" She pulled out some tonics from her dress pouch.
"How do we know that's not poison?" Byrin stopped her hand as he knelt overtop of Logan, his knees planted on the ground, one on either side of his left leg. His other hand was placed on top of a wound on his left shoulder, the glass had almost removed his entire left arm and when he pulled it out he used the magma to cauterize it and lessen the damage.
"Its Hibiscus and Calendula petals, if mixed with Lyric's magic, it will heal him with minimal scarring and long term effects will be headaches and sores along his joints. Will that be an issue?" She restricted the ingredients slowly.
"Continue, please. I love him, I just want him to be ok." Byrin looked down at Logan, his human form returning as his hands stayed magnetized and charred.
"Lyric, come help me." Elena called the witch over.
Soon the Botanist and the Magician worked on a potion, a vibrant gold and rose mix. Logan's fur was a dark crimson shade coated with blood, some spots were darker, far more drenched, indents of pooling covered those parts of his body.
Rose had gained consciousness and joined the trio. She regained full remembrance of the situation, her body showed minimal damage from the blast. She scanned over her brother's charred remains before continuing over to her friend's sides.
"How's he doing?"She questioned, her hands on Lyrics back.
"Not well, blunt force trauma from the wall. Blown out muscle issues and cuts. He will make a full recovery but it will not be instant." Lyric admitted.
"As long as he lives. I'll find something to hold Aklin in so we can transport him home safely." Rose stood from the spot and began to search around the room, looking for anything to hold the shattered remains of her brother.
Elena poured the bottle down Logan's throat and waited. Soon a rose gold glow took over the minotaurs body. The wounds on his body began to scar over and the smaller ones disappeared under the regrown fur. The wound under Byrin's hand glowed heavily before turning into a large scar across his shoulder.
"Holy shit." Byrin breathed out, his eyes fixed on the scar under his hand.
Soon the man's eyes opened, a small groan signaled to the group to show the potion worked. His hand cupped Byrin's face. The tears threatening to fall from Byrin's eyes finally flooded down in relief. His throat relaxed as he let himself breathe.
"You didn't think I was going that easy, now did you?"
